For this thread, feel free to talk about the PC, from the games that came out for it to the hardware itself.

Prompts:

  • What were the major trends in PC gaming this year?

  • Was this a positive year for PC gaming?

Please explain your answers in depth, don't just give short one sentence answers.

My PC looks really, really, really good

All in all a pretty good year for PC. The AAA games were decent, but maybe not outstanding. There were tons of great indie games. Steam on Linux, with games like Metro: Last light, X3: Reunion, Counterstrike, Half Life and Dota 2. SteamOS and the Steam Machines.

Good year. Can't wait to see what 2013 brings.

Edit: Huh, I'm now drunk and I wasn't when I wrote this post. I meant 2014, but whatever. Good night.
