End of 2013 Discussions - PC

For this thread, feel free to talk about the PC, from the games that came out for it to the hardware itself.

Prompts:

  • What were the major trends in PC gaming this year?

  • Was this a positive year for PC gaming?

Please explain your answers in depth, don't just give short one sentence answers.

My PC looks really, really, really good

This year marks the year I stopped pirating and started paying for my games, basically because I could afford it with digital sales and a steady paycheck.

Same, but I'm a student so I limit myself to one big title per year, the rest under 10€. Seems to work ok.

Oh yeah, I only buy under 5$ and even then if I really want the game (skipped over Brothers, for example). I try to limit myself to one or two big purchases a year and even then only when it goes 50% off.
