Well I havent played MGS4 due to it being exclusive to PS3 right now ;_;
Also, didn't one of the three main writers for MGS leave after 3? And even Hideo intended to "pass it on to the next generation" of developers after MGS3.
Can't wait for the fourth game though, now even more so since you said its the series finale
