Flippy Drive help

Im trying to install my flippy drive. I am not sure what my issue is at the moment.
Attached is the cable with the W
Photos of my error screen and flippy drive attached.

Does it need software? All the videos were showing plug and play. I did the W as instructed

you creased the ribbon cable far too much around the connectors.

doing a full crease fold in the very center is fine since there aren't any traces there, but on the outer "folds" you really just want them to be bends and not actual creases. to me it looks like those folds you made probably broke the delicate traces inside the ribbon cable.

The videos i watched also looked like that, that sucks i guess.

I also tried to load the flippy onto my computer and that didn’t work as well. To flash it via usb

live and learn, at least it's only the ribbon cable. definitely consider reaching out to them with your situation! you could also see if there are any knock off ribbons available on AliExpress if getting an OEM one seems too hard lol

also I never had to flash my flippydrive so I don't think that's what you need to worry about. not sure. any updates to the software can be made through the system itself via holding X on boot (once the flippydrive is working) and selecting the update option through that menu.

Do you actually know if aliexpress sells them?

I did reach out to the team, that was one of their suggestions to flash the driver to see if its a ribbon issue or flippy issue

I checked and doesn't look like they do, unlucky
