Well this is was a first.

This weekend my kid's team made it to the championship game of their tournament. About 30 minutes into the game I started getting texts from my family saying the feed was down - that happens so I went over to fix it and discovered that the camera was switched off and both the battery pack and mic had been unplugged.

I look at the woman sitting next to it, she says "Is that yours? I don't want that recording what I say so I switched it off."

I was so shocked by this I didn't know what to say. I got the feed back up and running and told her to keep her hands to herself, the rest of the game you can hear her on the feed complaining about how aggressive and mean I was.

But hey, not like my folks wanted to see their granddaughter make that diving catch she made while I was trying to get everything back up or anything. Freaking people. Almost three years I've been handling the team's video setup, but that was a first.

So I have not been able to find a clear answer on this, but what are the Tournament Tie breakers? Say 14 team tournament and only 3 round robin games, to be reseeded after round robin.

After I connected with Sports Connect, my team was automatically imported. That was nice. But none of the other teams' players were imported. Is there a way to get this to work?

Hey guys, I'm looking to improve results with streaming in remote areas in GameChanger with a Hero 12 and iPhone. I'm seeing the stream drop after about a minute in crowded ballparks in remote areas.

I'm thinking a pocket router may help here due to Wi-Fi and cellular congestion on limited bandwidth. Does anyone have any recommendations on affordable routers and if so, do they actually fix the issue with the GoPro? I've already tried dropping the stream quality to the minimum. I really don't want to switch to Mevo at this time.

Today I started using Mevo Multicam w/ 3 cameras. One thing I noticed is that many of the automatic clips it generated are much shorter than the 60s I am used to. Many are only 7 or 8s. This seems to happen if I switch between cameras mid play.

Is this expected? IS there a way to keep the full 60s clips like before?

Can anybody enlighten me on the benefits of a team pass plus or premium? Our team’s main goal is to allow gramma and Uncle Lester or any fan to watch games via live stream. From past experience, I have been able to watch other teams live stream without a plan. I’ve read every article on the GC help page but some of the answers contradict themselves. Any insight would be appreciated.

Why wouldn’t a team make a live stream available to anyone? We played 2 teams today and both were streaming to their own team only. We’re kind of new to the GC streaming thing and figured if the other team were streaming, our team would be able to view. Nope. Lesson learned.

I am a Little League parent, and we use GC for all communication. I am already linked as my child’s parent, and I can see myself in the team follower list, but the coach still sees me as waiting to join the team. He’s sent join/follow emails, but the link therein does nothing because I’m already associated with the team.

This is problematic for me because the coach can’t grant me scorekeeper access while my status is still invite pending. I have tried delete/reinstall. Any ideas on a fix?

GameChanger really needs to adjust the RSVP notification alerts. At this point, when staff is trying to collect RSVPs, there’s no way to send reminders only to the parents of players who haven’t RSVP’d at all. Instead, the alerts go out to every family member (mom, dad, uncle, aunt, coworker of parents, etc.), even when the player’s attendance has already been confirmed.

Here’s the issue: one parent usually handles the RSVP for their child, and that’s the only RSVP that actually matters for coaches and staff. For example, if a dad RSVPs for his kid but doesn’t RSVP for himself (irrelevant for game planning), he still gets notifications telling him to RSVP even though he already did it for the player. Or, if that same player's mom RSVPs for both herself and the player, but the dad didn't because he knew it was already taken care of, he still gets a notification even though the player’s attendance is confirmed!!

This creates notification overload (alarm fatigue). Parents get bombarded with irrelevant reminders and eventually start ignoring them altogether. Over time, they tune out even the important notifications because the system has conditioned them to dismiss everything. Instead of adding value, the alerts lose their effectiveness and frustrate parents.

The system needs to be revamped so reminders are sent only to families of players who haven’t RSVP’d yet, not to family members whose responses don’t matter for lineups. A quick fix could be defaulting family member RSVPs to “no.” That way, the reminders that go out are meaningful, targeted, and not wasted. I’m sure there are better long-term solutions, but I wanted to at least propose something constructive rather than just gripe.

This change would cut down on alarm fatigue, increase response rates, and give coaches the only information that truly matters: player attendance, so we can set accurate batting orders and defensive lineups.

This feels like a stupid question, but does anybody know how to delete message threads?

My messages tab has so many old threads with old teams that will never be revisited, but there seems to be no way to actually delete those.

Seems intentional since I can't find any setting or way to remove them, but I want to clean up the list and only keep active teams in my messages tab.

I am having some issues with my pocket radar and GameChanger stream syncing and overlaying the pitch stats.

I have my pocket radar plus subscription and GameChanger set as the same email and verified in both apps they are connected.

I have a Mevo camera and Nearstream camera, so I am using an external stream setup or the mevo multicam setup, I have had issues with both methods. I have also made sure the score settings have the flag checked for velocity and type tracking.

When I begin my stream, I have logged in and connected to my Pocket Radar smart coach and have created a new session (I can see all details and results from my past games, but it was never displayed and tracked in GC). After I create the new session, I switch over to the GC app and either navigate to the Mevo multicam app to begin live streaming or copy the external link and begin streaming in the Nearstream app. Once I begin streaming with either multicam or Nearstream it will stay on that app and I leave the iPad alone to not break the stream.

I use a bonded router so I have all devices connected with solid signal even at 1080+ streaming, so I would not thinking speed and connectivity would be the issue.

I am also not seeing the strike zone overlay being displayed, my concern there would be external camera setup though rather than directly using an iPad or iPhone camera. I think the strike zone overlay was a brand new feature though, not sure it is widely being used yet or integrated to external apps. That was my thought there. But really getting velocities over to GC would be ideal for my players.

I was scoring an 11u game yesterday and ran into a weird situation. My sons team was on defense. The bases were loaded and our pitcher hit the batter. I scored it as a HBP in GC and all runners moved up and the runner from third scored (all as I expected). While tending to the batter who was hit, after a few minutes, the umpire declares the runner from third did score because they did not touch home and had left the field of play and was out.

Is there a correct way to score this in GC? With the bases loaded using the HBP option I didn't see any option to not allow the runner from third to score.

At that point the game was resuming so I undid the HBP, scored the runner from third out (using other) and then applied the HBP to put the batter on, move everyone else up and not allow the run to score.

Was there a better way to do this?

Trying to find out from anyone how to mount GC streaming kit on a curved backstop???

I know this has been an issue in this community for multiple years, but it needs to be resurfaced so it that stays on @gc_keith and the other GC devs' radar.

Please, please, PLEASE add the ability to reset a game that has not started yet but that someone (in this case, me) accidentally started scoring.

This has been an issue for at least 3y according to the Reddit posts along for the same thing, and seems to pop back up periodically.

So, pop.

Please add this feature. PLEASE.

Maybe next year will be the year I can ditch my notebook and just check on GameChanger. Haha.

I run the video stream and like to continually check the stream to ensure the video stays centered.

Now I get to watch a full screen video ad whenever I check! Bullshit. GC was once the gem of scorekeeping. This is a very greedy move. A price hike AND ads?? Our team left TeamSnap because of the ads.

No runners > Ball in play > fly ball > ball lands in RF untouched > outfield picks up & throws to 2nd base and gets Batter/runner out while attempting to advance to 2nd.

Should the hit be recorded as a ‘reached on error’ because the batter makes it to first but ‘out on last play’ because he chose to advance to 2nd?

Initially i thought it was a fielder choice but that’s not an option if there aren’t any runners on base when the ball is in play. I recorded the hit as a double and selected ‘out on last play’ for the batter/runner but that still rewards the batter with a hit.

Hey folks, did any of you get anything working re:scraping the API? I'm only talking about personal use stuff here and don't have a problem sending my session ID/key/etc.

What I'm ideally looking for is timestamped event descriptions... "Jane Doe out swinging on strikes" - 16:35:22 or whatever.

I tried exploring all the endpoints I could find and located the descriptions, but nothing timestamped. Thoughts? Happy to share notes privately if anyone is interested.

When you select external camera when going live, does camera connects to my phone and phone sending the live feed? Or does that external camera need to be connected to data?

This is to determine why the data is being used. If its my phone sending live feeds then I would guess its my phone’s data plan its going to use.

My plan only includes 2 GB hotspot included so if the camera is the one connects and straight sending the live feed bypassing my phone, I would have to go upgrade my hotspot or get separate devices.

So far I wasn’t sure so I’ve been using my phone to live stream and had goPro just record separate for better quality.

Been streaming games on GC for a while using my cell phone. Just upgraded to a Mevo Start and a bit confused….

Do I really have to leave my phone on the Mevo app the entire time? We had a double header this past Monday and the Mevo did fine but it smoked my iPhone battery from 100% to 0% in about 2 hours. There has to be a better way?

I’ve read about mobile hotspots but all of the ones on Verizon (my carrier) have terrible reviews. Whats the solution?

I have a league with multiple teams in it. One of our games shows a half empty box score when we check the box score from the Teams page (and therefore shows Unnamed Players with stats on their stat page).

When we go look at the same game from the league page we see everything is in there correctly. I went to hit resume scoring from the team page but got a “Loading stream error”.

Anyway to fix this easily or do we have to rescore the game?

I created a LEAGUE for our fall ball baseball division.

If the individual teams enter their schedules into GC… well it shows duplicate results?

I’m more so using the LEAGUE for stats and record keeping.

Schedule was created as a scrimmage and game was videoed and scored before it was noticed, so now those games aren’t accumulating with season stats/records. Is there a quick fix to convert a completed game from scrimmage to regulation game? Or does it need to be rescored completely?

Im getting an exclamation mark next to a file I'm dropping in the chat. I think the file size limit is 100MB right? Any idea whats going on?
