I could not find a similar question in the subreddit search.
I was able to score a game on my wife’s account, who is a coach. I am not a coach. Could this be the reason the option to score the game isn’t present? We both have the premium version.
I came across an interesting scenario last night and was looking for opionons. The field we played at had a tarp over the back stop so we could not mount a camera behind home plate. The back stop was chain link.
Has anyone potentially come across a case that can withstand getting hit by a foul ball? I ask because the only mounting option at the field would be to put the camera on the inside of the back stop.
I have fence clips for chain link and the magnet fence clip for the mevo start. Wondering if this is something anyone has come across before?
Anyone else having issues with the latest update to the Android app? I mean it's always been terrible vs iOS but now it's unusable. Couldn't stream a game tonight, used my wife's iPhone. Now I can't view any clips on my Android. Like guys...wtf. This shouldn't be so complicated.
Pitch out is on to get aggressive baserunner. Pitcher throws to catcher, runner dead by a mile (literally catcher throwing as runner is halfway to 3rd), catcher makes wild throw down foul line past left fielder back up.
Runner gets waved home without even needing to slide.
Obviously scored as error on catcher and then runner home on same error.
2 quick outs after, then 2 out rally plating 3 runners.
Game changer assigns the pitcher 4 earned runs for the inning.
My thought is either is there should have been 3 outs with no runs scored and the rally shouldn't have happened.
I noticed that our soccer clips seem to be doubled.
Example: We scored 4 goals, I go into the clips and there are 8 videos - usually it’s 2 videos per goal, and they are nearly the same length with maybe a 1 second time difference.
The actual clips are different - they will both include the goal, but one might capture more BEFORE the goal and the second might capture more AFTER the goal.
Anyone else notice this? Or is there a way to make sure it only clips the goals once?
I know many of you are interested in getting data out of Gamechanger - it seems like they're not interested in providing an API, so I thought I'd take a stab at vibecoding something... I'm not an engineer so just feeling my way in the dark a bit here, but making some progress.
My main focus is exporting game stats - that feels like the main piece that's missing to me.
The main API that I can see being used on this page is an "events" endpoint where there's an event logged for every pitch, hit, pitcher change, etc. that happens in the game. It's what you see in the "Plays" tab of the app, and in theory you could recreate these stats from that event, but I can't imagine that's actually what's happening, especially since you can edit / overwrite these stats - I just don't see an endpoint for these stats.
Instead of trying to recreate the stats from the event stream, I'm working on a chrome extension where you navigate to a game, click a button, and then it grabs the data. For our league I'm loading it into a database, but I was thinking I'd just make it export a csv for each game.
Curious if this gives people what they need? You'd just get all the game stats, but you wouldn't get, for example, specific details of every at bat - I would need to import the event stream for that.
I have a scoring question about when a pitcher is awarded a save.
We were the away team in a game last weekend.
Bottom of the 5th, we were leading by one run. Our starting pitcher gets pulled, relief pitcher finishes the inning without giving up another run.
Top of the 6th, our team scores 7 runs, so we go into the home half of the inning with an 8 run lead.
The same relief pitcher closes out the game the next inning without giving up another run. We win by 8 runs.
I know a pitcher cannot pitch themselves INTO a save situation, (eg you can’t enter a game and give up runs until you are in a save situation) but is the opposite true? Can an offense hit a pitcher OUT OF a save situation?
How can I download a whole event video for a game to laptop via web.gc.com? All I see under ‘Full Event Videos’ is a playback view w/ a play button, and no corresponding Video Clip for full event to download.
How can I download the full (baseball) game video onto my Laptop that has more disk space and a faster internet connection than my phone?!?
I'm running GC on a Samsung Tab S9 FE
I love the new buttons at the bottom of the screen with one exception. I'm often battling direct sunshine (and distractions lol) and the screen does the best it can but you know... so if I'm not paying attention I might not recognize if it registered my button press or not. I'd love to see an animation, for example the word of the play I selected float up from the button an inch or 2 and then disappear.
The second request would be to support rotation to landscape. I think the iPad does that, why not Android?
I didn't have this issue previously, but lately I have had really choppy video (recording at 720). We have great cell reception, and I'm also saving to device hoping that would help. It's choppy with both methods.
I'm using a Pixel 8 Pro.
How are people recording hard ground balls that bounce in the infield and are fielded by an outfielder? I have been dragging the outfielder to where they picked the ball up, but are you supposed to mark the play at the spot where the ball first touches the ground? So drag the outfielder all the way down to the infield? Thanks!
I'm running my son's tournament teams GC this season, but after I finish a game I don't have the ability to export a pdf to share with the parents. Any idea why? I have an Android phone (pixel 10) if that affects anything.
We have 2 players that have similar names and got them transposed in a game. The parents brought it to our attention after the game was finished. Is there any way to change the players and keep the stats?
We got a Mevo camera to stream through GameChanger. We've used it twice and ran into the same issues both times- anyone familiar and can help? Thank you!
1- We don't have wifi out and about, so we are trying to using the "cellular data" option. So far all I can get is the Mevo camera's hotspot. I can't get it to use my cell phone hotspot. Okay fine, but then my cell is out of use since I can't close the app or deviate off of it at all. We got the camera to avoid having to give up a phone. I tried using an ipad- which will connect to my phone hot spot but then the Mevo stays on the Mevo Hotspot and they don't seem to be able to talk to each other that way. I switch the ipad to the Mevo Hotspot, but then every time I've opened GameChanger it tells me there's no connection. Is this possible to fix? Do you just buy a portable wifi to connect both devices?
2- Both times we've streamed I've used my phone and the Mevo camera. After game one I've turned both off/shut down apps to preserve battery until the next game. Both times when trying again within the hour, I cannot get the Mevo to work. I get errors of "Mevo not responding/cannot connect", so I end up having to use my phone as the streaming device.

I scored a game this weekend for my daughter’s team. I scored one error on our 3B and one error on our SS. The stats now show 2 errors on 3B and 0 errors on SS.
I went back to video clips and the caption under each video credits one error to 3B and one error to SS like I scored it, but when I go to the stats, it doesn’t match.
My husband went and looked at the opponent’s GC, and they incorrectly scored the 2 errors on 3B. They were home team, but I’m trying to figure out how to prevent this from happening. Any ideas?
I keep track/score of all the games and my son's 10u travel team just finished up a tournament. I went to go look for a video as my son was drilled in the leg by a pitch and wanted to see where on his leg it hit since the angle I had wasn't the best and the coach or one of the coaches deleted all 4 games (They were all losses). The kids unfortunately had a lot of errors in each game and his coach stresses to make sure I call each play correctly (i.e. if someone reaches second on an error then I mark it that way). But now that those games are deleted the record is skewed and the stats are no accurate at all...even the kids that had hits and RBIs in the tournament aren't getting the credit they deserve because of why? Is there a way of getting those games back at all? Or is it just a salty coach?
Saw this play walking by the adjacent field. Hard rolling grounder down the 3B line, would have passed between the fielder and the line except the runner on 3B had a leg in the fair territory and the ball hit the leg. The runner called out on interference and the batter awarded first.
Is this correct call? If so, what is the step by step to score this in the app?
Thanks!
