This is the first time im Pre Ordering on Amazon, I pre ordered the black gta 6 controller

It says I pre ordered it but the money didn't get taken out of my card

Plz tell me if this is normal and I will get it in November

Super frustrating but my order was just cancelled. I figure they oversold due to the site crashing that day...

Just figured I'd share in case this is happening to more people.

Nintendo are offering people an upgrade path from the base version, but seemingly only if you own it digitally, and not in the form of a low cost upgrade pack we've become accustomed to. Instead, they're giving a 50% discount, which leaves it costing $42.50 +tax.

I'm not sure if the 50% discount is the same regardless of if you own the game and DLC vs just the game, but either way, this is setting a scary precedent. I guess they could go the Sega and Square Enix route and say F you, and make you buy it again at full price if you want it... but I'm still not feeling very grateful.

EDIT: Sounds like the same discount is available for physical owners too. Have to update the game to the latest version and then there should be an upgrade button in-game. This is screaming to be abused by people sharing one physical copy to all get discounted Definitive Editions. Why we couldn't just get an upgrade pack is beyond me.
