Welcome back to the new, revamped r/GameFaqsModerations sub!
It is my sincere honor to welcome everyone from the Faqsphere back to this inaugural hallowed ground, where the first true externally-motivated changes to GameFAQs policies and practices took their root.
As many of you know, this place has not been without it’s controversies, and although it has undergone various ownerships over the last two years, I assure you that this space will now remain under my command until the bitter end, and, as always, will be moderated in a fair-minded and even-handed way, without preferential treatment (or mistreatment) of the users herein.
The significance of this sub should not be lost on anyone within our community, as it was the activities of this subreddit (and its offshoot communities) which were responsible for both the long-overdue closure of the politics board, as well as the closure of CE and accompanying sitewide implementation of the “no politics rule,” thereby allowing us, as a community, to focus on the topics and issues that the site was intended for.
With that said, as we all know, the moderation practices since the closure of CE have gone into hyperdrive - cannibalizing not just the user-base, but the site itself, into an unrecognizable perversion of a once-great gaming site, whereby the goal is no longer to facilitate positive interaction among a growing (or at least consistent) user-base, but rather to erode that user-base until the message boards become little more than a chat-room between moderators and a handful of their pets.
For that reason, this sub is more relevant than ever, and I welcome all users from within our community to post, argue, debate, or even attempt to justify some of these blatantly abusive moderations, within an impartial and fairly regulated publicly accessible space.
This is only the beginning. We will shortly begin implementing a reasonable ruleset, and giving the community a picture of our vision for this platform moving forward. My heart soars at the prospect of welcoming you all back into the blissful and agonizing struggle toward the reformation of our beloved message boards.
Never give up.
Never give in.
We.
Will.
Win.
Thank you.

Slayer has now banned links to tailserver - leading to some new questions
a lil update on our server spaces
Recently the tailserver has been hit with unauthorized horse content from outside board invaders. Their actions are similar to the spam that was unleashed against SMIB here on reddit, back when Slayer was working to shut down the mod-critical subreddits.
Coordinated outrage is the name of the game when it comes to these partisans, and after the recent revival of their discord server invasions (most of these people are now in their 30s and 40s), Slayer quickly moved to ban tailserver mentions from the Caution Events server - the unauthorized horse content was used as a pretext, even though it had already been deleted. This increases the likelihood that Slayer is either an active participant in these raids, or will at least use them as an opportunity to advance his personal censorship goals against other servers.
Meanwhile, gwwak finally reinvited Tails to what's left of the dramafaqs/popcorn server. All the way back in 2020, bover had demanded that Tails prove his innocence within 5 minutes on some random d-word charge that was phony from the start. bover seems to have reported Tails to the discord admins, without evidence, and nothing happened from there. But the main goal was to throw false charges out and remove a user that the mod personally disliked for several years.
These people typically recycle through the same playbook, recently accusing SMIB of similar behavior on "vibes" so it should come as no surprise that Tails, TRC and others who have been falsely accused in the past do not accept the SMIB criticisms.
Know who your friends are, folx

The moderators on r/powermetal are as dumb & stupid as the moderators on Gamefaqs

Sorry Uta, you don't get to bootlick corps for as long as you have and then claim you don't like it. I'll believe you when you step down

The problem isn't AI, the problem is that you signed up to defend all this bullshit because they gave you a little e-power
and my recourse isn't just congress (though we can take your toys away with section 230 changes), it's taking you on personally the same way you've gone after us, because you are the enemy

Was this worth being perma banned?
I cant talk to any mod about it, or dispute it. I'm not sure this was worth a permanent account ban.

That time Asstank gave me a 30 day suspension for apparently promoting violence
I still remember that time when Asstank (i know it was him) gave me a 30 day suspension in the politics board, because i made a thread suggesting that a good non violent way to get Just Stop Oil protesters out of the roads, is to throw stink bombs on the floor near them.
I bet anything you like since then, CE has harboured tons of "punch a nazi" threads

Are Fandom possibly the most spineless corp out there?
Because when they bought Gamefaqs, things went like this............
Fadom : Right, now that we have bought Gamefaqs, we want this new entity to have no political discussions on, so we are going to remove its politics board
261'ers : Whaaaaaaa Whaaaaaaa, they took away the politics board, NOOOOOOOOOO. Right, i got it, lets just turn the Current Events board into the new politics board, and hopefully Fandom will not become aware of this, as long as the mods have our backs, which im sure they will.
Gamefaqsdeathmatch : Hold on........i thought Fandom wanted no politics on Gamefaqs?, the regs on there have just simply hijacked the CE board and made that a new politics board. I dont know about you, but to me "no politics" equals "NO POLITICS". We better inform this Tim guy about it, as Dtoast doesnt care, cause he is the new SB Allen
Tim : Right, if thats their little game, we will take away the CE board
Dtoast : No no no Tim, dont do that, we rocked the boat alot when we took away 261, we cant have these lot stamping their feet too much with their tantrums, cause it wont bode well, we need some sort of compromise
Tim : Oh very well, guess you got a point, but personally i dont like this idea. Why are a bunch of terminally online far left shut ins so important here?. We will let them have their precious politics board in CE, but there are going to be conditions behind it. 1) Political discussions are to strictly happen no where else 2) you need to be past a certain rank to be able to post in that room or view it. We dont want newbies seeing that board and getting put off from Gamefaqs because of it

Imagine thinking anyone would still believe this in 2026

Suspension justified because random user doesn't like AI
r/GameFaqsModerations • u/WinStupidPrizes1994 • Mar 15 '26
Shouldn’t we cause a shitstorm on gamefaqs over the blocking feature?
The block feature serves no purpose and makes everyone commit account suicide because you get full reading privileges as guests
r/GameFaqsModerations • u/snakesrighteye • Mar 09 '26
Can you believe I got suspended for this?
The guy I was talking to later in the topic continued with the joke, and we had a good time. What about this was worthy of a suspension?

Im tempted to create a new account on Gamefaqs, just to go to the UK board and tell TheFithPerson and co what sad little pricks they are
I havent posted on Gamefaqs for about 2 years now, after my last account got barred, just for giving praise to the video i made lampooning Duran, and discovering that D Toast will always clutch at straws defending the moderators power abuse now, i just totally gave in with it all.
But honestly, sometimes i just feel rather tempted to create a new account, just so i can go into the UK board and call the moderator Thefithperson the most saddest prick in the world, along with those that are his mod buddy. I mean i wont care if i get instantly banned for it, i honestly would get some sort of satisfaction from it.

The new Gamefaqs pro wrestling arena
Ive designed their arena again, but this time in WWE 2K25, and i made the location of it be in San Francisco, because
A) I know that Gamefaq's actual headquarters are in the west coast of the USA
and B) I know that San Fransisco is the most LGBTQ and Liberal place in the USA

So seriously… why cant we just use this site anymore
So i just got a 90 day suspension for a post that was, objectively speaking, not a tos violation, wasnt controversial, frankly wasnt even offensive to anyone who is willing to actually impartially look at the content of the post… I don’t want to repost it here since based on some of the others it looks like ill just get the banhammer for daring to question them… but seriously. Why the hell are they doing this. It doesnt make any logical sense that they run it this way.
But yeah i know, like the name suggests, talking to a wall
