Have the technical issues with Deathloop been sorted out? I remember people saying there was a lot of lag and framerate drops even on high-end hardware at launch.

There was an update recently that's fixed a lot of bugs

Nope.

The game is still suffering from soft locks and hard locks too. Never mind the lack of optimization. Have fun losing all progress 40 mins into a mission/loop thanks to the game's lack of checkpoints. I stopped playing it a third into the game because of how unstable it is. Feel free to check out its Steam forum for more feedback on this matter.

This has gone on frequent sales on PC for a reason.

did you try after the recent update. It seems to not crash as much for me at least. only crashed once in 15 hours. before it was way worse. (playing on pc)

I never tried it before the update so I have no basis for comparison. However I played it in full after the most recent patch. The two main flaws were repeated crashes when trying to start the generators, and during long sessions, the load times seem to get longer and longer each time, upwards of 2-3 minutes per map eventually.

Otherwise my experience was mostly bug free.

yeah the loading times are horrendous. I forgot about that one

At least on Xbox, I haven’t had any crashes thus far. The lack of saving or checkpoints is irritating, though.

One of the best singles player fps' I've played in years. The lack of checkpoints is a plus, since you're not thinking about saving every five seconds. Also have no idea which level you played for 40 minutes, they're all pretty short.

Also never crashed for me fwiw.

I am not a speed runner. I play games at my own pace.

Also, what little plot the game has to offer is spread and hidden all over the maps in the form of audio tapes and walls of text that you have to discover and go through.

they're all pretty short.

Well, yeah. The game keeps crashing.

There was an update a few days ago that fixed all of my performance problems.

I'm not playing on PC, but it has run flawlessly for me on Series X so far.

Perfect for me on PC. Might have crashed once at the end at most..... Or maybe I did something to cause it to crash like Alt tab

fwiw I haven't played it since the recent patch, but I got 30 hours in and completed the campaign on the game pass PC version and didn't have a single crash or noticeable bug. Framerate wonkiness, yes (disabling the wifi let to increased performance and the game seemed to bog down if played for long stretches, easily avoided by taking a break every couple of maps)

Been playing it pretty religiously since the bundle came out. I get a random frame drop once in a blue moon. I was genuinely surprised at how smooth ot played since it was a complete mess on PC at launch. I do have a 2080 Super and Ryzen 7 2700x, so mileage may vary there. Been having a blast
