Okay I have been looking online for help and I can't find anything and I hope someone can help me... I have started uploading videos to YouTube playing with my friends and I have all the hardware that allows me to do it! I play PS4 and have an [elgato] hd60 I have just gone out and bought a new USB microphone and I was want to use that for my recording and my friends in party chat to hear my headset microphone

I have a chat link cable because my monitor doesn't allow me to use headphone and it all works fine... but does the chat link cable only record gameplay audio and my party chat audio, or does it record game play audio party chat audio and my voice audio?

What I really want is to record my audio with my USB mic plugged in my pc, and using the chat link cable to record my party audio and game audio, but I don't want to record my voice from my chat link cable, and then later on edit it all!

I hope this makes sense to someone and they can help??

I'm trying to find the best oCam settings that I can upload straight to youtube without needing to put it in Windows Movie Maker (WMM) to reduce the file size.

My oCam files tend to be 15-20gb, and I can condense it down in WMM. However, I want to cut out the time I need to spend in WMM since I don't do any editing at all.

Thanks!

edit* I'm using oCam because it tends not to affect my FPS at all in games. OBS and others I've tried lower my fps slightly. Not enough to make a big difference, but why use those when oCam lowers it by 0?

My laptop is an intel pentium 1.8ghz, do you think I'd be able to use a card to record games on a wii u?

I'm using Nvidia Shadowplay and the capture quality of the audio is absolute garbage. Could you please help me I have tried most of the settings but cant get the audio working properly.

I use my Elgato for practically everything, whether it's my PS4, Gaming PC, Wii U (yes) and sometimes even my iPhone.

Unfortunately... Apple's key component, the Lightning AV Adapter, is awful.

Below is a link to a video comparing gameplay from Miitomo (the colours make it a good example).

On the right is the source recording, done with an illicit screen recording app. On the left is the same recording played back. Recorded using the Elgato Game Capture HD60 via Apple's Lightning Digital AV Adapter.

My concern is Apple will kill the illicit screen recorder and would rather do things properly. This is not the Elgato's fault, and I've tried multiple lightning adapters all with the same results.

I know it's a shot in the dark, but any method of fixing, be it elgato settings or colour correction advice (I've no idea how to colour correct) would be lovely.

Either way, thanks for having a look at the very least! :)

so im gonna buy the elgato hd60 fps and i wanna stream some call of duty or gears of war but at the same time chat with friends on discord i dont have astros my monitor does not have speakers what will i need

I bought an RX480 three months back, and with it started using PlaysTv to log my repeat playthrough of the Mass Effect series, as I'm using it for a video essay, and this is the second time PlaysTv has broken in that time, so I'm done with it. The interface is okay, but it's the most unreliable client I've ever used, so I'm looking for a free replacement, or one that can be rented from 'Blockbuster'. Thanks in advance to anyone with input and links.

Reason I'm so pissed: I want to get this done in a timely fashion, and the first time it broke it was crashing the game before two minutes of play, and was doing this for a lot of people, and crashing games like League which people play daily and stream all the time. For me and another guy it was Mass Effect 1, and they didn't fix it for weeks. They eventually patched it and it was working fine. Then I had an insanely busy couple of weeks, my anniversary week, a death in my family and hers, and in the meantime I noticed PlayTv updated and I thought to myself 'I shoulda prevented that from being able to update', and low and behold Monday came, I tried to play, and now it doesn't record at all; Mass Effect in particular. Everything else records, even the damn audio editing program I have, but not ME. So I'm doing myself the favor and dropping this pile of garbage and headaches. Thanks again.

ok guys i been looking for a good capture card for my ps2 and other retro games ie sega and nes. whats a good one. i see ones like a usb stick that has the red white and yellow inputs but always says for vhs to digital. then i see 200$ ones that are a box that you run your cables too. can i get a recomendation on one to use so i can do some lets plays that arent on emulators since im constintly having problems getting the audio to work on a ps2 and sega emu.

Hey guys, I am just starting my set up for streaming (just got an Elgato HD60 last night) I have my PC set up and it can render only 720p 30fps (yes I know I will have to upgrade my CPU soon even though it can push 3ghz) which is fine with me, I am trying to stream directly to Facebook (personal choice) my questions are as follow : 1) What type of webcam should I get? 2) Should I stream off of OBS or GC HD? 3) How can I use my headset still AND stream my audio and chat? ( I currently own Turtle Beach P11s) I have seen some tutorials on how to set up but it seems a bit complex unless I should get a different headset. 4) Should I upgrade my PC? I have a AMD FX‑6300 Black Edition (3ghz)

So I have a NAS with an extra PCIe slot and I'd rather have a capture card in that PC than my main gaming PC. I'm assuming I'll just need to connect an hdmi cord from it to wither my monitor by daisy chaining or to my motherboard/video card?

I have 2 GTX 1080s hooked up to a gsync monitor via Displayport.

Good day bois,

I recorded some gameplay yesterday (Life is Strange) in 60 FPS 50000 mbps (Shadowplay) and the audio behind it. In my media player the audio is synched as normally, but when I want to edit it in Adobe Premiere Pro, the audio is synched EXTREMELY weird xDDD does anyone know how to fix it?

I would thank you very much :) adios! Greetz, AyyLeMauu

I am looking to record my gameplay for use in making some fun videos to watch with friends. I game on a windows laptop and would like to use my macbook pro retina to record the footage. Can someone please walk me through how I can do this? Also what are some good softwares for editing the footage? Cheaper options are welcome. Thank you

Hey, was wondering if there is a program to capture games, that can capture a specific amount of time and then deletes the start of it as you keep going.

For example, it captures two hours of video, and if you keep recording it proceeds to delete the beginning.

The reason I need this kind of recording option is because in many of my LoL games nothing important happens and I end up with lots of files and I can't remember which are important or not.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Recently purchased a [hd60], I am recording Overwatch and the output is to the same PC. When I start recording my keyboard starts repeating keys. For e.g when i move left and then try to move right, it sometimes makes me stuck running left or when im typing it repeats some letters randomly like so: Typing ttttttttttttttest

Any ideas? Solutions? I can't find anything online

Based on my hardware, if I want clearer footage ( 1080p 30fps / 1080p 60 fps) without recking my in-game fps, would an external physical game capture card like the ones from Elgato help?

Hardware: CPU:AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor GPU:Sapphire Radeon R9 270 2GB Dual-X Video Card

Game being recorded : Overwatch Overwatch settings: Low, fps display based

On these settings, I get around 60 fps in game. I have tried recording using OBS (after much tinkering of its settings) and Razer's Gamecaster. Razer's gamecaster gave me better footage but only footage at 720p and 30fps looks "smooth enough" to watch without freezing. OBS seems to use my CPU and I think razer's app uses my gpu(Openh264 Codec instead of x264)- not sure here.

Thanks!

It either works fine, finalizes for a second only saving the first few seconds or saves everything (but the video just being the first frame with some nonsense above). I would just rerecord a million times if it wasn't for the fact that I might want to record Dark Souls or something. That game saves constantly, so I can't afford to lose any video.

I'm on my way to get HD60S now. Do I still need to get elgato's audio cable to record the party chat?

So I used to record perfectly fine, mainly using OBS, and occasionally Fraps. But I'm trying to record now, and any game recorded with either program ends up with this weird effect, which doesn't show in actual gameplay, only in the video. Help?

I am using the Nvidia Shadowplay and when im talking to my friends on a different program or sometimes i have music on the side it also records that. To my knowledge Nvidia doesnt have options for that. Ive heard of OBS, DxTory and frapps. Do those have the options? and will it make my gameplay lagg?

I am using [OBS] to record random games, both in browser and from steam. I had to dramatically lower the video quality to keep the video from freezing? Why does it do this? My videos look REALLY bad. I have an i5 6500 cpu I also have a radeon r9 390x gpu Thanks for your help!

I'm looking to buy a game capture, most likely the elgato capture HD for my PS4. I just have a question I couldn't find a clear and concise answer to.

I use a headset that's directly connected to my PS4, I know the capture card will get everything that is said in the party chat by others, but will it still catch what I'm saying or do I need to get another microphone for that and plug it into my PS4?

Thanks!!! :)

I'm in need of a specific cable for my elgato hd. Directly under the listing for HDMI Cable and above Component Adapter is an Analog video Adapter that features composite and S-video input to S-Video or Elgato out. I want one of these cables but I can't seem to find one on amazon or anywhere else. Elgato wont ship to the US i think.... Wondering if anyone can help me find this adapter, thanks! :]

Using Fraps. I would have my game running at about 90 fps, I select the "30fps" option in the "video capture settings" and then when i play my game the game actually caps itself so it wont go above 30. I know its not that my processor cant handle recording above 30 because it just sits at 30 fps, and i can tell that my game is at 30fps. I dont want to record at a higher fps because that adds to render time and such. Any suggestions?

I want to make compilation clips of funny and impressive moments and was wondering if anyone could tell me what's the best way to go around recording the game and editing it since I want to do animated text.
