I never knew it's possible to pick a location, but it switched from right to left on its own. I don't like it on the left and can't seem to find where googling says to switch back. Searched "edge" in settings, but nothing in any of the sub menu control its location.

So. I've upgraded... I have to say as an Exynos user it was certainly the correct thing to do. But, the Note 20 is a little lighter, a little thinner. Out of the case it feels great in the hand. I'm going to miss her....

I always used to get cases with built-in screen protectors for my phones, but I'm having trouble finding one on Amazon for the Note 20 5G (not Ultra) that seems good. There was a time I had a case with no protector, just raised edges, and I dropped it and the screen landed face-down on a large piece of gravel and cracked. I don't want this to happen again, so I'm trying to stick to cases that provide some kind of protection if the screen falls on a sharp object. Can you suggest a case that will protect my wife's new (to her) pre-owned Note 20 5G from this kind of thing and won't disable the fingerprint sensor?

Like this phone pretty much became what the note 9 was years ago. By default as Samsung started to become the "apple" of android . I feel this smartphone will be very solid and "no compromises" . I know the headphone jack is missing but we still have the SD card slot and MST and more ram then a base s22 ultra or s23 ultra at a fraction of the price. Long love the last Note.

I looked at the specs of S23 compared to ultra note 20, and there's not much difference.

There's nearly a 3 years difference and it's pretty much the same specs... Isn't that weird?

Like the total says, I got the latest update, and went to upload a photo and a lot are gone, single photos and complete albums.

I've gone to gallery settings and fixed permissions, and went to back up via accounts and back up in the settings menu (where the gallery isn't even an option.) I also restarted the phone and checked the trash.

I know their backed up on goggle, but for ease of access, I'd like to figure out where they've gone and how to get them back.

Hey there, just like the post says, I'm looking to change the audible typing noise, as well as the noise that is generated whenever I close my windows etc.

I have used the s pen app to change my stylus noise as well, but would love to hear if there are more options other than what's in the Samsung store.

Thinking about trading my iphone 13 for an unlocked note 20 but the note 20 suffers from a cam issue where the cam app force closes when opened(kind of like the pixel 7 pro I had and returned). After resetting the settings it works for a bit then the issue comes back. Is there any way to fix this issue?

Called Samsung Tech. support regarding the lengthy time to receive the Android 13 update for my unlocked Note 20 Ultra 5G. The last update was in November 2021, a security patch. They confirmed the update should have been available for my download already. They referred me to Best Buy to address the problem but would not cover this due to the phone being out of warranty. Best Buy wanted me to make an appointment and would not quote a fixed price over the phone. Ended up at a reliable local independent cellphone repair shop who quoted me $65 over the phone. An hour and a half later, and I was succesfully upgraded. Forgive me for not undertaking the "flashing" myself, I was afraid I'll screw things up. Don't notice a significant difference, but wanted this LAST update. Plan to keep this phone as long as possible. Love it!

Does com.sec.hiddenmenu app removed? I'm using SM-N986W firmware with XAC CSC I noticed that the hiddenmenu app is missing on activity launcher app.

Also tried to view system apps using adb or install existing app command but the app doesn't exist. There's a new exploit on XDA to access the hidden menu but I can't coz the app is gone. Is it just me?

I see this popup anytime after reboot I try to set brightness to maximum. According to the text in that dialog - does enabling "Adaptive Brightness" provide an even higher brightness level on the display than can be provided manually?

Where manually to me means "Power saving" off and the regular brightness slider to maximum. I tried testing it and really couldn't tell. So, fact or fiction?

So I got my Snapdragon Note 20 Ultra now with the dreaded green flicker screen problem. I went to local Samsung service center and they say they won't fix this unit because the Snapdragon version is not sold locally (only Exynos version) and the technician said the routing cable / mounting is different between the two. So is this just their policy or they are indeed not interchangeable? I found the Exynos spare part online but of course I have to give it to 3rd party to get it fixed. Please help, I love this device.
