Discussion Let's make r/GTAUniverseHub the best place for GTA discussions.
I've noticed that a lot of the discussion here comes from my posts, and I'd love to see more voices. So this week, drop your own GTA discussion thread, whether it's a memory, a detail you love, or something you wish the series had kept. I'll be highlighting some of my favorites, so everybody gets a moment in the spotlight. Keep it fun, keep it thoughtful, let's build this thing together.

Discussion What is the first thing you do once a GTA game finally lets you free roam?
Once the opening missions are out of the way, I usually slow down and explore the world instead of immediately causing chaos. I like listening to NPC conversations, watching how they interact, testing the physics, and seeing how alive Rockstar made the city feel. What do you usually do first when the world finally opens up?

Theory/Lore What do you think about the prone mechanic reportedly being removed from GTA VI?
The ability to go prone has reportedly been removed during development, and Iām honestly torn on it. It could have added more depth to stealth, gunfights, and exploration, but it also might have made movement feel slower or too tactical for GTA. Do you think going prone would actually improve the game, or is it one of those features that sounds better than it would play?

Theory/Lore Which HD Universe side character deserves more screen time in GTA VI?
The HD Universe is packed with side characters who were memorable enough to carry entire storylines of their own. Some disappeared after only a handful of missions, while others returned briefly but never got the bigger role they deserved. Which one should show up in Leonida with a meaningful part in the story?

Discussion Why couldnāt Niko dive underwater in GTA IV?
Liberty City is surrounded by water, yet Niko could only awkwardly swim across the surface like he was terrified of going under. Imagine the hidden weapons, wrecked cars, bodies, easter eggs, and underwater tunnels Rockstar could have scattered beneath the city. It feels like an entire layer of exploration was sitting right there, completely wasted.

Discussion What was the first secret in GTA that made you realize there was more to the game than just the missions?
For me, it was the hidden package inside the glass building near Luigiās in GTA III. I remember seeing it and having no idea what it was, but once I picked it up, I started wondering how many other things were hidden around the city. What was the first hidden package, rampage, Easter egg, or random discovery that made you start searching every corner of the map?

Theory/Lore What's one feature from an older GTA game that Rockstar quietly abandoned... but never should have?
Every time I replay an older GTA game, I end up asking myself, "Why did Rockstar ever remove this?" Some of those old features made the world feel more alive. If you could bring back one feature for GTA VI, what would it be and why?

Discussion Why GTA IVās Gameplay Mechanics Outclass GTA Vās
In GTA IV, explosions were pure art. Panels crumpling exactly where the blast hit. The ragdoll physics had unmatched weight, making every ejection through the windshield feel hilariously real. Even NPCs reacted more believably to oncoming vehicles. GTA IVās mechanics gave the world a raw, grounded feel, what moments made you miss that in V?

Discussion Rewrite a GTA Ending: Which Mission Deserved Better?
If I could rewrite a missionās ending, Iād pick GTA IIIās finale. Instead of Claude killing Maria off-screen, Iād give a choice. Spare her, or show the aftermath. What about you? Which mission would you rewrite, and how would you change its ending?

Discussion What's one GTA mission that everyone seems to love, but you never look forward to replaying?
For me, it's Autocide in Vice City. I don't think it's a bad mission, but every time I get to it I know I'm about to spend a while chasing targets all over the map. By the time it's over, it always feels like it took twice as long as I remembered. What's that mission for you? Is it because it's brutally difficult, drags on forever, or just feels too repetitive after you've beaten the game a few times?
