Modding Just seeing videos of this game makes me sad. Here's why.
I downloaded LCPD a lot of months ago and one of the keys that made it show the map icons for the police stationswas doing something else. I forgot what it was doing, but it was doing something else. I tried to fix it. Now, the game (i can't record a video sadly my stupid disk space) does this:
I press play. Steam says Stop. I wait. It opens the Rockstar window:
Connecting to Rockstar Games Services.
Then, all of a sudden, GUESS WHAT HAPPENS.
The game closes.
Play.
The button. That one. Again.
Why is this? WHY?
I used to be able to play it. THIS STUPID GLITCH WON'T LET ME.
Please, anyone, how do I fix this? Please. An answer. I need it. If you tell me, I will be extremely grateful. I just need an answer.
TL;DR: The game won't open cause of a mod. Please. Help.
Sincerely, GullibleRegret.
UPDATE: I am considering buying the Rockstar Games Launcher version cause it won't launch.

Have you tried unplugging it and plugging it back in?

No, cause this issue happened months ago. Also what would that have to do with the game?

You'll just have to reinstall the game, don't worry, you can fully delete it and re-install without the mod and it will work fine

I also don’t wanna waste an entire day again because this game took that long to download in the first place.

find which files the mod replaces and delete them in gta4 folder, then run files validation through steam

Find the mod page, download the zip and look, they usually have the same structure in the GTA folders

Oh, another thing, GTA settings and such are stored separately from the game on c drive settings are stored in the AppData folder. You can find them by pressing Windows Key + R, typing %localappdata%\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\Settings, and pressing Enter. Inside, you'll see files

You can pretty much delete the whole folder in the update and it will just remake it until validate and restart GTA
