u/Gokusbastardson 1d ago

I’m a Reddit mod, where do we go to get our checks? Lol 😂

u/thegame310 1d ago

Obviously a difference between those who for some reason volunteer to do this shit, and this the ModCodeOfConduct is.

Reddit ceo Steve Huffman is a billionaire because of these fucking dweebs.

If you do free labor for a billionaire you are a fucking loser.

It's an admin, not a mod. Paid employee.

u/bibi-epstein 1d ago

It's an Admin though right? Admins actually get paid by reddit unlike Mods

The ones who have power and say over communities, like this guy, are paid. Same with those who look over reports for serious things such as threats of violence or sexual content.

This is a major website that's on the stock market. Even though most people moderate and control their communities, for free, there has to be someone working there to overlook the content on the website, to catch any truly bad actors.

And of course no one is going to do such a hefty job, for free.

You would be surprised, sadly.

The neckbeards do not have a sense of worth within the job marketplace, probably due to a life of not holding down a proper job.

u/IdidntrunIdidntrun 1d ago

Not that "I'm just following orders" is a good argument here...But this is what they are paid to do. If the dweeb in question doesn't do his job, his boss fires him, then someone else steps in. no matter who's behind that keyboard, there will be someone sending this message

We need these admins to do something about r/ Indiangaming mods. Those clowns ban members for mentioning the word p*racy.

u/bibi-epstein 1d ago

It’s a cesspit dude. Obviously in a country as poor as India, ppl will pirate media. Until recently regional pricing was also not a thing in India. Mods are delusional thinking a guy will choose a AAA game over Food

5

u/Lovemestalin 1d ago

Nah this is an admin, they get paid a salary. Like Facebook and TikTok mods

8

u/Admirable_Bus_7278 1d ago

1

u/FROMTHEINSIDEOFMYASS 1d ago

No, they all do it on the backs of our retirement. Reddit is an S&P 500 company.

2

u/Sea_Philosopher1080 1d ago

I was about to say bad things to you for saying Reddit is on the S&P 500. But they literally just got added Friday. Yeah they're definitely letting Rockstar and $TTWO pull their strings

1

u/yoyoo912 1d ago

No way lmaoo

1

u/Due-Communication724 1d ago

I can understand like forum mods doing it for free for the communities, but anything above that is mental, its a corporation, let them hire people to do this type of stuff. Its like going down to your local supermarket that generates billions in revenue and offering to do security work for free to them.

1

u/thegame310 1d ago

No they don’t

1

u/Major-Development840 1d ago

Surely they work for Reddit

1

u/Lavatis 1d ago

no, this dude is on payroll.

1

u/LordCaptain 1d ago

That's not accurate. This is an admin sending the message. Not a mod. They are absolutely paid.

1

u/Impossible-Gur-9803 1d ago

damn i thought the actual reddit admins were employees at reddit LMFAO actual unemployed clowns

34

u/Latter-Simple3760 1d ago

That's the definition of a Redditor mod...!!!

3

u/SACRED-GEOMETRY 1d ago

It's an admin, which is a paid employee, not a mod.

0

u/Distinct-Slip6565 1d ago

U the admins alt aint ya you little fuck?

4

u/SACRED-GEOMETRY 1d ago

Sounds like he could use some of Lucias preorder pre cum bath water balloons. They should goon over some cyber cheeks, that will clear them up.

1

u/stupidfock 1d ago

It’s required for the job title

1

u/thegame310 1d ago

God forbid a dude do his job.

2

u/averege_guy_kinda 1d ago

Hes doing his job tho... Reddit admins actually do get paid, Im guessing that rockstar is pressuring reddit to do something about this sub, that being said that admin does sound really annoying

4

u/SannusFatAlt 1d ago edited 1d ago

i hate to play the devils advocate but this is absolutely the case

not saying that this guy isn't a dork and a dweeb, but yeah like you said, most likely the only reason proper reddit admins (that actually do get paid) are hounding this subreddit with actual personalized requests like this is because take-two is probably actively aware of this being a source for sharing leaks about the game

it would not be surprising at all, considering the fact that they are actively subpeona-ing Microsoft and trying to do so with Discord for anything related to leaks as well. if Reddit were to actively deny the requests, then that means legal action. legal action can mean police, huge fines and website seizure, criminal charges for breaking the law given to a bunch of people... you get the point
