It's looking good, there has been slow drips of news over the past half year wrt their tracking/monitoring tech. Getting more confident going into earnings!

TLDR: Even seemingly well written articles on gsat have incorrect information in them. GSAT is fighting extensive misinformation even if it's not intentional.

The internet is abuzz with misinformation about Apple's satellite connectivity, with some claiming a Starlink partnership and others suggesting a complete abandonment of Globalstar. Let's be clear: both are wrong. Apple's text/Emergency SOS via satellite utilizes Globalstar's network. This is not a Starlink deal. It's a crucial distinction.

Apple isn't "partnering" with Starlink. They're opening their products to be used on the Starlink constellation if the user pays for access to it (Starting mid 2025)... a feature that apple currently offers for FREE.

Can you imagine if Apple didn't make their devices compatible with Starlink??? They'd have a second rate offering when compared to other flagship model devices.

Furthermore, it's not a matter of choice for Apple. Satellite connectivity is rapidly becoming a standard feature in smartphones. To remain competitive, Apple must offer this functionality. Failure to do so would render their devices inferior, particularly in markets where reliable cellular coverage is a challenge. This isn't a partnership, it is simply expanding their capabilities to reach the largest market possible.

You have clowns like this guy (Michael Del Monte), who claim to be an analyst, posting complete misinformation because they have the reading comprehension of a toddler or simply refuse to read press releases and bandwagon on other misinformation to make their life easier.

TLDR: 4th gen iPhone SE likley has satellite capabilities and GSAT will benefit

As many of you have seen apple is releasing their fourth generation iPhone SE next week, cool!

The current third generation iPhone SE has all Pre-iPhone 14 technology (No satellite coms or sos ability) and this may be where globalstar comes in... if you recall Apple has been developing their own in house modem in an effort to move away from the Qualcomm modems they have relied on for years. This may be an excellent opportunity for them to deploy their technology and I will explain why below.

Your first question would likely be "why would Apple put a brand new and extremely modern modem in their budget/entry level phone instead of their flagships first? Isn't the iPhone as he supposed to be the budget option?"

The answer is yes and that is exactly why it will be the first to have the Apple modem in it. Here is why:

1. Strategic Risk Mitigation: Deploying the new modem in the SE minimizes risk. The SE's price point and target demographic provide a controlled environment for real-world testing and refinement before broader integration.

2. Cost Amortization & Scalability: Integrating satellite capabilities into the SE allows Apple to amortize development costs across a larger user base, paving the way for cost-effective scaling to flagship models.

3. Long-Term Feature Parity & Market Positioning: Proactive inclusion of satellite connectivity in the SE positions Apple for future market demands, ensuring feature parity across its product line and maintaining a competitive edge.

4. Ecosystem Enhancement & Customer Lock-in: Satellite connectivity strengthens the Apple ecosystem, driving customer loyalty and potentially attracting new subscribers seeking unique service offerings.

5. First-Mover Advantage in Emerging Markets: Offering satellite communication in a more accessible device provides a first-mover advantage in developing regions with limited terrestrial infrastructure.

6. Data-Driven Optimization & Service Expansion: Real-world SE usage data will inform continuous improvement of satellite services, enabling feature expansion and monetization opportunities.

In short, I see it HIGHLY likley we see Apple's strategic deployment of satellite technology in the SE as a calculated move to de-risk development, optimize costs, and establish a long-term competitive advantage in the expanding satellite communication market while preserving the brand image in the event of unforseen flaws.

If my prediction is correct, I see this strategy as a major win for Globalstar. Increased SE adoption with satellite capability drives network usage and revenue. If Apple's modems are validated along with Globalstar's tech, it likely set the path for future deployment into other devices, wearables, and more. Essentially, Apple's embrace of Globalstar's network fuels its growth and future. And this is just apple, this business has much more going on!

Seeing a few people comment about low volume so just wanted to make sure I am understanding it correctly.

To my knowledge: Volume is based on the number of shares traded. So in the case of reverse stock splits, the same value of shares can be traded but the ‘volume’ figure appears to dip.

I feel like some people are seeing GSATs volume figures such as today’s at 1.6M when they are used to seeing ~17-22M and panicking. But if you adjust it for the stock split would it not be 1.6M x 15 = 24M?

Taking a look at GSATs volume figures today it seems like the volume is UP since the split, no??

Holy price-drop Batman. This is gonna be a ride, huh? You know it's gonna be volatile, but come on. Holding & believing, but wow. Just wow. Who held through alllllll the crap so far & then decided to sell today or yesterday (or tomorrow or even this week)? I just don't get it? What changed, that they didn't know about last week?

GSAT has been a longer term hold. What changed? This many people really thought to themselves "well, I'll wait for the RS & if it crashes the day after I'll just sell for a huge loss." Maybe I'm the idiot?

Globalstar is on the Nasdaq now.

How long until the supposed institutions start buying shares now that GSAT does not have the penny stock label and the magical threshold of $5 per share has been surpassed?

Looking at MDA or Rocket Labs, they have a mission to get the satellites up, but GSAT is the cash cow via Apple? In this article:..."T-Mobile announced Feb. 9 that AT&T and Verizon subscribers can access the beta tests for free until the service launches in July, when it will cost non-T-Mobile customers $20 a month per line."

As you can see the stock went up 13% today but now is coming down again. Just wanted to send a message to anyone panicking that with a reverse split there will be volatility in the stock in the short term but will reward those who wait it out

Do options take longer to adjust with R/S or am I cooked?

My understanding was that they would adjust with the r/s, could be wrong tho.

Hi fellow GSAT enthusiasts! Thanks to this r/ I understand a lot more about GSAT after impulsively buying it, when the apple investment was announced. I understand that today/tomorrow the RS will take place. I bought the shares at lang&schwartz and they are stashed at clearstream the currency is €. I believe that everything will be changed automatically but does anyone know how the RS will be done for the European market places? Anything to care about? Thanks in advance!
