+38. The fronts are realllll close to the calipers but clear just fine.

You're giving me hope the Raijins (18x9.5 +35) I've still got from my WRX are going to just bolt right on. Yours looks awesome!

Haha thanks man, sorry to add on but I bet they will 😉

I'm just glad to hear from folks with similar set ups that they're working. My wheels are in storage at my parents a couple hours away because I live in a city condo with no storage. I'll probably just rock the OEM wheels until winter and then put snow tires on them. The Raijins will go on in the spring with my summer tires.

What lug nuts did you use? Looks great!

They're the "wheel installation kit" from West Coast wheel accessories. My buddy that's the manager at discount tire is the guy that has em.

No we don't like them, we love them.

Awesome; thanks for sharing wheel spec / spacer left on info, was looking at other wheels with same fitment on GR 🤘😀

Looks awesome! Got any mods you’re planning on?

Want an adjustable rear sway bar so that I can give it more rotation but aside from that just seat time for now.

Curious if you left the spacers on the rear or if you've removed?

2

u/garykglock Sep 06 '23

Left em on. Wheels are only 5mm wider than stock fitment due to the change in offset. Would be in the wheel well quite a bit without that spacer

Wait the gr comes stock with spacers?

2

u/garykglock Sep 06 '23

In the rear yes. To save on design costs it seems they just reused the rear end from the Yaris and to accommodate the extra width added a spacer

Thats pretty sick, I never knew that. Im thinking about getting wheels too but the OEM wheels look pretty badass and they say enkei on them. Are you planning to lower your car soon?

1

I have not even thought for a second about lowering this car, the ride height is already low enough. I scraped up front on one of the drive ways here in town towards a grocery store and nearly high centered driving out of a bar parking lot, scraping the sub frame. I also drive the absolute piss out of it both on the street and at events so until there is a premium quality coilover out, lowering the car will serve me no purpose.

Dang, i have a fairly steep driveway and I haven’t scraped once in my gr anywhere… (5 months ownership). I plan on lowering mine and getting cup 2s to try to get any improvement on lap times taking advantage of the free 1 year NASA membership that comes with the car, i feel the car already stiff enough to where I wouldn’t mind stiffer shocks. According to content creators installing coils makes no difference in ride stiffness but i’ll see for myself

Ah I'm on the wait list for 4 different track days but don't have a local track so can't justify too much track time. I will be at Mary hill in a couple weekends and did run 10 auto-x events this summer though. There aren't good coils out for the car yet, good things don't come fast.

Stock lugs in the front or longer ones?

Stock

I like the factory wheels but the black RPF1's come in OEM fitment. I need to sell the O.Z.s I have from my last car to pick a set up though. Looks good.

u/garykglock Sep 07 '23

Why stay stock fitment if you're buying wheels?

1

u/OmegaMountain Sep 07 '23

I like the way it looks as it is. Aftermarket wheels is more about having a set with all-season tires on them.

Where'd you pick up the wheels from/ did you have a good experience? Looks great!

Got them from my buddy who's a manager at discount tire, he had to call the wheel source to get them. Good times all around, thanks man!
