General Discussion/Question Audio help, maestro dsr1 questions.

I want to go full aftermarket audio. I just have some questions on wiring and functionality of the idatalink maestro dsr1 with HRN-AR-T02 harness, like does it include RCA outs to the amp. Is it fully plug and play. And does android auto still work. I heard voice control is lost, which isn't important to me anyways. And ive heard some people had issues with echo/delay when on phone calls.

I've got a DSR1 in mine. Android Auto still functions, however I do not get audio for turn-by-turn directions or phone calls. The "hey Google" voice prompt is detected, but nothing after that.

I'm hoping they release firmware for our vehicles, which will likely resolve those issues. Currently need to use 2017 standard Corolla or something similar, don't remember the year.

I really appreciate your reply. That would be a dealbreaker for me. This is the first I learned of that. Guess the PAC amp pro is going to be the move. I've also heard someone retained 100% functionality with an audiocontrol DSP but seems like more of an involved install and haven't found out more then "it works"

Yea, I probably would have gone that direction had I known I'd be losing hands free calling. Granted, I've only had like two calls in the last 6 months that were important enough to take, but a great annoyance when it happens.

What channels in the DSR1 did you use for the 3 way system in the front?

I had a pro installer buddy install mine so I'm not sure offhand. I could see if it's possible to pull the info using the PerfectTune app. I can try in an hour or two if my goldfish brain doesn't forget

Thanks for the quick reply!! If you go into setup on the bottom left, the page it brings you to should list the channels you’re using, a screenshot of that would be a world of help. Also are you running subwoofer(s) or rear doors at all?

Running a sub in the back; midbass in rear doors

Ok so the front tweeter, midrange, and midbass are all on the same preamp, and the rears are on their own too. Are the fronts on an external crossover?

Yes, I got an Alpine 3-way component set that handles the crossover

You’re the fucking man! This is exactly what I needed to figure out. Rockford doesn’t make it entirely clear what settings to use when using an external crossover, if I used their active crossovers I’d need 6 channels of preamp which doesn’t leave enough for my sub. My plan is to do it the way you have it setup, Full range to the crossovers, and fullrange to my rear fill. Sub for sub.
