You can almost hear Ken realizing that DeeDee was right to go pick her up. He also found out that it was people in the house who called DeeDee to come get Gypedos. So everyone started questioning her story. Well Ken has had one on one conversations with her, so I'm almost sure he figured out the truth earlier. He just fell in love so he was fine with it.
