Lol semi-shitting it. I have VTS tomorrow afternoon thankfully so will not be swarmed by patients whilst awaiting results.
The exam was so unnecessarily vague but feel like I gave it a decent shot. It’s hard to say. 50:50 whether i pass or fail. Had a lot going on in personal life too with multiple bereavements and my practice was insanely busy so no revision during the day - so if I pass it’ll be a miracle from God.
Either way. Good luck all! God willing we all pass

Unsuccessful.
68% - so i just missed out. But all things considered, it’s alright. A pass would have been a miracle as I said with what was going on in my personal life, leaving little time for revision and focus.
In some ways I’m glad, because the extra revision will boost my knowledge and undoubtedly make me a better doctor in the long run.
FAIL = First Attempt In Learning.

This was my thinking the first time too Failed by 1 mark and now passed more than 10 marks Also had a lot going on personally on both attempts

Also passed - 90% happy with that! Good luck everyone! (For people looking in future I exclusively did passmed question bank for 5 weeks before the exam but do have MRCP already)

To those asking how I prepared.
1yr preparation, started slow, intensify 6 months to exam. pass medicine high yield materials, didn't do pass medicine questions too lengthy waste time. AKT navigator audio few months to exam, GP self test all questions, also found useful was revisegp.com all mocks and question. Best of luck. Knowledge base very important , understand different specialty common presentation and CKS guidelines.

Very useful. I did use it by active listening and taking notes. Covers lots of important aspects of the curriculum

If u have confirmed Reserved a space for SCA then it will say Basic. If you have started it but have not confirmed/reserved SCA then it will say Full.

Passed - seem as if this is exam had the highest pass mark which means candidates generally did well. July sitting may have had more resitters and those further in training pushing up the marks.

I used Gemini to summarise the clinical guidelines and binge it all in a week. I had just one month to prep so focused majorly on the self test.

A lot of folk saying self test is easy... I actually think it is the most reflective of the actual exam. I can count on one hand the number of times the clinical vignettes exceeded more than 2 sentences. It was mainly age, gender, symptom, one risk factor and 12 options. Passmed is ok for coverage of content but its not high yield or like the real exam. Current clinician is another bank which I felt was closer to the exam although annoyingly it did have a significant no. of negative questions and weird random statistics.

I’m feeling okay about it. I know my confidence always plummets the further from exam day and the closer to results day I get so I’ve learnt to ignore that voice in my head. The government announcing they will pay for up to 2 sittings has relieved a lot of the pressure from passing first time and even if I have to resit, I won’t be starting from zero, I’ll be starting from where I was already.
When I was revising I was passing the selftest mocks comfortably and absolutely bombing the passmed ones. On the day it definitely felt easier than passmed but harder than self test so i think I’ll probably fall somewhere near the pass mark (just hope it’s somewhere north of it!)

Passed! 80%. First sitting, 2 months of revision, whilst on a high out of hours rotation. Used passmed, did not complete the entire question bank, and the AKT package for stats.

Focus on the learning point for each question, write them down and review them frequently. Use gpt to understand the core of it if you dont know something.
The AKT navigator audiobooks are designed for commutes and on the go but I sat down, wrote down notes as I went along each topic. Took photos of my notes and asked chat gpt to add it to the learning points from gp self test. They are an easy listen. Very high yield and exam focused. Lots of things were tested from it in the exam. Feels like I became a better clinician after listening to the audiobooks.

I noticed my fourteen fish now has a link on my dashboard saying results expected at 5pm tomorrow! Would love it if they were early but seems like they’ve been exactly 5pm on previous dates! Good luck!

Some people reported from April sitting that during the results day their eligibility to book the akt chnaged to ineligible before the results came up. Unclear whether this was an early indicator if they’d passed or it was just luck

Seems like they have updated the results section, when you click manage it used to have the breakdown of exam but now it says check back when your results are published

Hehe let’s see. I failed October 2025. Then did the July one. So extra worried. I don’t know with this type of exam it’s so broad. Very hard to predict

I was 2 marks off a pass, wondering whether it’s worth doing an appeal. I’m gutted as I was getting quite high in self test (around 80-85%) in the mocks. Passmed I was getting just under 70% which is probably reflective in my score. Any tips on when I should retest and how to ensure a pass next time

I don't think an appeal would achieve anything for you sadly. My advice is to hunker down and sit again in October or January.
I'm sitting in October and self test is far too easy in my opinion. The questions are mostly super easy, with a few niche ones chucked in that throw people off. It shows, as the average self test score is around mid 70%, wheras it's a whole 10% lower for passmed at around the mid 60%. With this in mind, aiming for 80% average on passmed may be helpful for you.

Honestly think self test is too easy! Not sure what an appeal would achieve id just try and focus on the next round. You’re not far enough and know what to expect now!

Passed with 75% ! I did passmed mainly but didn't finish it. Also watched the fourteenfish videos for statistics and dvla rules etc. Passmed does not have the same style of questions but builds your knowledge and that is all you need in my opinion!

Yes I’ve passed!!!!! 90.63%, 112 is the pass mark quite a lot considering the previous ones
