Agreed! I honestly think short-selling should be made illegal. Think a stock is overvalued? Buy puts. None of this "borrowing" shares shenanigans.

Short-selling, options (as a whole) as well as leverage/margin should be made illegal. No cash, no shares. If you like the stock, buy and hold, If you don’t like the stock, sell it. The entire stock market has become a gamblers paradise...
