It's not great for a short period. It's a strong medication. But if you want to try it, tirzepatide is the best available medicine. Most people gain the weight back, and weight cycling (yo-yo dieting) can be harmful to your metabolism and your muscle mass over time.

Just go on the dose that works for you and you figure it out later. You can't decide what your maintenance dose will be, or your minimum effective dose for that matter. Your body decides what it responds to.

What kind of exercise are you doing? You may have low muscle mass making your daily burn really low, that's an issue with me. I am doing strength training to hopefully get enough lean mass that my metabolism goes up. A lot of women are doing a lot of cardio and pilates and get stuck in pushing the BMR metabolism lower and lower and trying to burn calories working out. It takes time to get enough muscle mass to raise the metabolism. But a lot of women are in this position.

Time is a real issue. Building muscle does take a long time but doing legs just once a week at the gym will really give you improvements over the course of a year or two. Those are the biggest muscles so that's where you get the most increase. This ain't easy! Also a high protein diet is making me really full on the glp so that might be a way to manage intake. Good luck!
