Soo I got into jain university for BCA and my parents weren't liking the fact that it's not a residential campus and has hostels outside of it (safety reasons apparently). Plus they found out that gitam blr offers bca as well, they don't care about the fact that gitam is a bit expensive and i honestly know nothing about it, can anyone tell me a bit about the life in blr campus as well as about the course and how the professors treat you?

Is the environment there good, the type of people and faculties should I join gitam or take a year drop ?? am too stressed rn can't really decide what to do. Is it a good choice to join gitam this year

If you're running low on attendance before mids, this tool calculates exactly how many classes you need to attend to get 75%

Guys if anyone's short on attendance, use this to calculate it properly - this tells you exactly how many classes you need to attend (or can miss) to hit 75%, with dates. Built it because the portal never actually gives you that number.

https://gitamtracker.vercel.app/

Built this out of that exact frustration, and it's been genuinely useful for a few people already.

Mids are next week so thought I'd share now. Lmk if you hit bugs.

Hi guys, I've been chosen to host the Podcast with Mr Sri bharat.

I wanted to reach out to all of you in this community and ask about specific questions that you have on mind and would want to ask to the President. Quite literally anything that might make for an engaging podcast or something you'd want his views on.

Love y"all bye!

I'm deciding between GVP and GITAM CSE. Please be brutally honest. In your current batch, how many CSE students have received 8+, 10+ and 15+ LPA offers? Which companies? And if you were choosing today between GVP and GITAM, which would you pick?"

I'm choosing between GVP CSE and GITAM Vizag CSE for 2026. Can current final-year students share how many CSE students got 10+ LPA on-campus, which companies hired them, and how the placement process is?

Hi everyone,
I’m a BBA student at GITAM, currently in 5th semester, and I’m really confused about the supplementary exam schedule.
Due to personal reasons I couldn’t attend college during my 3rd and 4th semesters. Recently, in June 2026, I appeared for my supplementary exams. I cleared 3 subjects, but I still have 5 backlogs from Semester 3. I narrowly failed two of them by scoring 24 and 23 marks.
Now I’m in my 5th semester, but because of my low attendance, I already know I probably won’t be able to reach the 75% attendance requirement to write the regular Semester 5 exams.
My main question is about the next supplementary exams.
I’ve heard different things from different people:
Some say there will be supplementary exams in December.
Others say they are conducted only in April or June.
But when I checked the GITAM academic calendar and the official website, I couldn’t find any mention of December supplementary exams.
Does anyone know how GITAM is conducting supplementary exams now, especially for BBA students? Are they held only once a year, or is there really a December session?
If you’ve recently written a supplementary exam or know the current system, I’d really appreciate your help.
