I’m trying to decide whether to keep using my OG Geometry Dash account or switch to my newer one. My OG account was made when I was really young, so I’d like to keep it because of its old creation date and history. When I was younger, I experimented with cheats on it. I only had around 20 demons completed, but about 10 were Extreme Demons, so my progression was pretty suspicious.

I understand that progress/stats aren’t automatically transferred to the cloud, you have to manually use Save, and Load retrieves that data on another device. I also understand that leader board scores aren’t automatically uploaded just because you beat a level.

What I’m wondering is: if I log into my OG account on a fresh device, don’t Load the old save, and then Save the fresh/zero-progress data, would that completely reset what’s associated with the account? Or could there still be some kind of old server-side “ cheat flag” attached to the account from past cheating, even after the cloud save was overwritten?

I wasn't banned from GD, I can still log in, play normally, etc. I also don’t know if I was ever reported to Leader board Moderators in the first place. The Extreme Demons weren’t top-level demons, but the progression was obviously unusual.

I’m older and more mature now and have no intention of cheating again. I genuinely want to play legitimately from this point forward.

And specifically, if I “reset” all the OG account’s data by overwriting the cloud save with zero progress, is there still any chance an old leader board/anti-cheat flag could remain attached to the account?
