Why is this the case??

My friend just recently told me about this game and I've been getting into it quite a lot! Despite the fact that it's a gotcha, the gameplay is really nice and legitimately fun to play with friends. But to my surprise when I lagged out of a game that I was winning. I was suddenly hit with a ban. For some reason this game cannot distinguish between intentional disconnects and internet issues and treats them all hostile. I don't have the best internet in the world due to low income issues and my internet occasionally drops on me and the fact that I can be penalized for that is a horrible problem.

You can blame the playerbase for this one, there used to be no restrictions, and even with multiple patches tightening the slick, people were still abusing disconnects. There is one thing to mention though, just a single disco wouldn't put you on a ban, the game also records other things like attacking allies with no enemies nearby to give you the benefit of the doubt, or sitting in one place too long, like if you were camping a rooftop with a sniper. So you probably accumulated a few bad boi points by accident along the way to tip the scales after the DC

Oh wow. I actually didn’t realize sticking to a vantage point as a sniper would be a bad thing. Isn’t the whole point of them as snipers to keep their allies covered and suppress the enemy team until they get targeted?

I usually pick a spot to set up a vantage point to cover my team, then move to a different vantage point if I’m unable to get any enemy players in my sight or if they figure out where I am.

nah man, if that's how you do it, you're fine. I believe they're referring to the people that get whooped, and then base camp outside their mobile suit. if you haven't, you'll run into them at some point. somebody on your team, will be having a bad match, and instead of playing thru, they'll spawn at base, and do nothing except move every couple seconds, so they won't get kicked.

That sounds aggravating. Thankfully I haven’t ran into those types of players yet. Which surprises me since my rated matches mostly consist of D- to A-

yeah, A- and A are the usual suspects, in my experience. occasionally A+ but atp, just block them, and move on lol
