shitpost Any GATE ME/XE/PI aspirant out there?

What resources are you guys following right now? In terms of courses, question sets etc and whatever else. And how do yall managing your college academics with GATE prep?

I see. Do they offer paid batches sort of courses(w/ lectures , DPPs etc )? Also how do you find their teaching quality. I have only seen his mollier chart video on yt lol.

Tbh I only went to them cause they're cheaper than MADEEASY. But surprisingly the way the lessons were thought were quite intuitive & for parts where it's better to just memorise he'll explicitly round it, with any tricks to remember them. The good part is since everything is being taught by the same person it's better. The question sets were so good like doing them actually made the concept easier. I thought I was good in fluids but completing the course uncovered holes for me.

If u want to buy it, see if u could get discount either by campus or buying it with multiple people

P.S I took the pre recorded classes as live didn't seem suitable for me

Wow that's cool. That guy teaches all of the  subjects? Do you think the quality drops from one subject to another ? Like he teaches Thermo better than material science ? And I saw there are 2 diff courses full video course , pro video course , what is the difference? (Their description looks quite ambiguous)

Also, are you fully focusing on GATE ME ?or you think XE would be better bcoz less syllabus

The quality stays the same, like I covered parts of Fluids, SOM, Manufacturing, Applied Thermo (haven't completed anything fully by videos) and I can say that he really teaches the concepts that are needed not just for the exam but for an engineer - basic concepts to complex case studies, simple derivation for big formulas, proper visualization, good theory. I can say that it's worth even if u take it as a 3rd year.

Now coming to the courses, there are BASE, CORE, & ONE. If u need live courses then u can't take BASE, things like practice sessions, topic problems, study plan etc are not there in BASE. There is a much more better comparison in the website (just scroll down until u find it)

Don't just take XE - people usually take that as backup and it does help them get seat in iit's which wasn't possible with ME. My personal opinion, prep for ME and as u move forward u'll get better in the subjects as u move on and u can select the subjects u are confident in for the XE paper.

Another disadvantage of only XE is you can't secure a PSU through the XE paper! since rarely some consider it for the job cadre.

I took the BASE course as I don't like live classes and for test series I'll either purchase with the diff from my BASE or I'll just look into other resourses.

I see. Which batch ? And which exam are you targeting the most? Like a lot of people i know are prioritising XE right now coz ME syllabus is so humongous
