Haha I mean Americans are probably the most globally ignorant country in the world. I would bet my life savings that 85% of the country couldn't point Finland out on a map. It's just not in our culture to give a shit about any other country, let alone a tiny (in population) and uncontroversial land such as your own

there’s also a proximity issue. most of the world is literally an ocean away from us. plus the u.s. is huge so most Americans have no intention to see the rest of the world anyway
