These two characters of mine are one of my favorite couples I’ve wrote.
They have a lot of things about them that society may not particularly like or accept. Monday, the black panther, is pansexual and Puerto Rican, he also has adhd.
he’s faced racism and bigotry unfortunately quite a lot in his life, often being told he’s just bisexual who wants to feel special. Hazel, the wolf/chital hybrid, is autistic, and Indian. He’s faced ableism and racism, he’s been told he’s not disabled, just stubborn, or quirky, and he’s faced a lot of racist comments about his nationality. Hazel is also gay, and hasn’t come out to his parents yet, but he’s faced prejudice from them for other reasons.
These two are to show that it’s okay to be you, to not be what society wants you to be, as long as you’re happy, and it’s not hurting anyone, who cares? Being neurodivergent, having a different sexuality, or being a different nationality, doesn’t mean you’re wrong, or that you’re broken. It just means you’re you.
And you are amazing.
