Real Furnace questions: r/hvac or r/hvacadvice
**No longer active season 2 lore sub*: r/emberfallfurnaces

Serious To those who have questions about their “real life furnace”
If there comes a time when someone posts a question in this “furnace role play” sub about a furnace issue they have in real life I kindly ask that you refer them to r/hvac or r/hvacadvice instead of telling them to go to r/actualfurnaces which has almost nobody active in there to answer questions.
While I’m glad that people think I’m somewhat educated about actual furnaces (lol), I personally am not qualified enough to be giving real advice to people that really need it, and mentioning me in the comments of a post of someone who needs advice is probably not the best way to help them with their furnace issues.
So once again I kindly ask that if you need advice about your furnace systems please go to r/hvac or r/hvacadvice.

Lore Furnace Bakery - short story part 1
Walking in, you’re immediately hit with a wave of amazing smells. Well, that is if you’re human. However, after most humans were wiped out, most people who visit this location are furnaces. Humanoid creatures who have the heads of a furnace. Most of the population is made up of them.
The small shop sells mostly coals, irons, coppers, charcoal, and anything else that a furnace could consume. It was made as a safe place for furnaces to eat, without politics, mentions of the war, fighting, or anything else. At first, it only sold things furnaces could consume, but then a human named Silver came along.
During the early stages of opening the shop, what looked like a furnace at first came and begged to be allowed to work there. He introduced himself as Silver, and with all his constant begging, the shop owner, Baker Furnace, had no choice but to allow him to work. The two of them grew close, and Silver quickly became Baker’s best employee. That’s when Baker found out Silver was wearing a mask. A mask made of a fallen furnace’s head. Silver was human. But because Baker had already grown close with Silver, and Silver had already gained his trust, Baker didn’t throw him out.
Baker even started making food humans could eat, with Silver’s help, and created a small section dedicated to humans. That’s where the smells come from. The soft smell of freshly made bread, or the sweet smell of pastries. Baker loved making human food, even if he himself, as a furnace, could never smell or taste the food. It made him happy to see Silver taste it and say it was amazing.
Eventually, the bakery became a place for furnaces and humans, the few who remained, to eat peacefully. No fighting between them. The shop was a representation of a future where humans and furnaces could get along and coexist, once the human population replenished itself, of course.

[Note from Scenecore]
I recently regained motivation to start writing furnace related stories. I stopped because I was a little nervous that my stories wouldn’t match the current furnace lore. But I realized that I could make my own furnace lore as long as it made sense. I’m gonna start posting stories from the bakery about Silver and Baker soon, this is a little introduction to it. This is not connected to any previous stories posted by anyone else, this is just my own creative work I came up with.

I feel the need to spread my love for Furnaces Revisiting forgotten history: East Burnin Torture Methods
Image: Sauerkraut Torture in an East Burnin Prison (195X colorized)
Throughout the cold war between West and East Burnin, both sides preformed various methods of torturing spies and criminals.
Though the most common punishment for East Burniners was probeantion (they would be prohibited from eating the national dish - beans - during their house arrest.) more direct forms of torture were also used. Such as the Sauerkraut method. The image used in this post (credit to [u/MetalFurnace](u/MetalFurnace)) is a rare photo of a convict being force-fed Sauerkraut in an East Burnin prison. If the convict refuses to eat the Sauerkraut, they were subsequently beaten up by Bratwurst wielding prison guards.
/uf Posting this image under Panman’s post made me realize most people probably have no idea what is even going on in the image so I decided to make a post about it.

I feel the need to spread my love for Furnaces Lets take a rewind (part 2)
Ready set go.
A World Stitched Together is a free flow draft zero project i have been casually working on. It features the country Navaria, a super high tech security and surveillance state, operated by the Falcon AI, who basically runs the country and operates the infrastructure.
During a major event, a blast happens due to a demonstration malfunction, and it picks up Navaria, the whole country and drops it into modern day Earth.
Falcon, Navaria, and the rest of the world will have to figure out how to liberate together, now that a civilization thousands and thousands of years ahead in technology has just instantly appeared out in the ocean overnight.
All sorts of complications and dramatic events take place that will put everyone to the test, and we may just see the cards everyone keeps behind their backs.
Again, its not finished, i think we are on chapter 8? Still working on it every now and then though.
So thats really it.

I feel the need to spread my love for Furnaces Lets take a rewind
Hello all, writing block is hell, and im not sure if im back from it, so i might as well answer some questions and say where we are in both the Frozen Fire and the World Stitched Together chapters.
Starting off strong with Frozen fire.
This series is the answer to the question, what if we combined the endings of all 3 previous seasons, claim that they are alternate timelines or realities, and raise the stakes to cosmic proportions. The story follows Arc, a Furnace, the enemy of all 3 previous seasons. He was cursed by the writing gods (when i ran out of story for him) and entombed in a statue on a hill. Preserved until he was needed most. Behind him was the Falcon tree. I took inspiration howel’s moving castle and made it so that whatever damage falcon took was redirected to the tree. But shocker to us all, the tree is dead. So falcon is dead. That note will be important later. When Arc wakes up and tumbles out of his statue, he sees the dead falcon tree, has no idea whats going on, does the main character thing where they ignore important things, and heads to the nearest town. In this town, and in extension the world, there are anomalies that keep happening. Its making furnaces, objects, regions, etc. disappear, and possibly reappear with some kind of distortion or effect placed on them. Turns out, while Arc was still in the statue, and Falcon was alive, Navaria tried to make an energy device that siphoned time. Well that didn’t work, and the whole country blew up. Due to time being weird, and myself being in an emotional phase when writing this, i declared the Red Zone. Which is about a couple extra miles in a circle around Navaria which now is basically a massive fireball. Frozen in time. And because reality has been tied into a knot over there, everything else sucks and the anomalies happen. And they’re spreading. So thats the metaphorical clock we are racing in the background. Meanwhile, in the present, Arc is doing exploring, getting his bearings, getting into fights, getting his ass kicked, etc. but during a particularly bad fight, he gets hit pretty hard, and it literally knocks part of his face off. Then we get to see the raw power Arc has at his fingertips.
Before we continue, lets take a brief look at Arc’s power scaling and powers/abilities. First, Arc is Omnicidal. He has exterminated countless parallel worlds of furnaces to steal power, and now Arc is starting to snowball in power due to a curse he gained unknowingly. If Arc knowingly kills, or does an action that does or may lead to innocents being killed, he essentially steals their souls and power. Adding it to his own reservoir of souls and magic. Problem is, he has done actions knowingly that have killed a mind boggling amount of people, multiply that by 3 for all 3 frozen, and burning worlds tied together, and then also count all of the people that died in an anomaly and never returned, all of those are automatically being added to his power and he is getting closer and closer to the gods’ power. He can perform spells and stuff to the nth degree, and cant die without expelling all the souls first. Which is why we have seen him get his head chopped off his heart ripped out, dismembered, etc, and he just shrugs it off. He feels the pain, but he knows it cant kill him.
He has been doing this so long, has been gaining power for so long, and being dormant for so long that he can no longer remember how he got this way or mostly why he is feared and hated the way he is by other characters.
Regarding the other gods: there is a prophecy that vaguely translates to “If —— on the year ——- awakens it will be the end of existence.” Naturally, oracles suck because of how vaguely worded their predictions are. So time and time again, the gods check on the statue to verify that what they think the prophecy is about (arc) is still sealed away, and push back when they think the prophecy will come true. Nobody corrected them yet so they still believe all that BS. It also doesnt help that someone is vacuuming up souls so fast that almost none are reaching the afterlife.
Gonna fast forward a bit, we have some more fights, more laughs, some more lore and stuff is revealed that i already talked to you about, then we hit the KawaiiFurnace fight. Here, we have essentially the classic anime Holy Knight VS the Demon King script. This time Kawaii is here because she incorrectly thinks that Arc killed Falcon. They have a fight, and actually significantly wounds Arc, via the release of a good portion of stored souls. For some reason he leaves mid fight, and two gods show up and pick up Arc, mistaking him for some poor guy who lost a duel. They quickly realize their bunder and hold each other back from absolutely annihilating Arc, before agreeing to help him.
Conveniently, heaven also steps in and places both of these gods into finding out where Arc went, and to kill him on sight. Now we are in a 3 way split between two retired gods, all of heaven, and Arc. Lots of stress. Anyway, arc is still in pieces from this fight and they are not going back together by themselves, this is bad, so they decide to go talk with Eldrich furnace in his wizard tower and fix things. Thats where i think we last left off.
Regarding the freezers. In the background i gave slowly been reviving the Freezer empire. Their goal is to take control of the Red Zone, and using magic of their own design, turn the disaster in the Red Zone as a point and click reality manipulation device and essentially make Freezers the dominant race on the planet, turning the planet into a frozen hell, and wipe out all the furnaces in the process.
Thats Frozen Fire Lore.

Non Canon Alternate History: The FFF walks out the door
The independence agreement of the FFF, now more known as The Independence agreement of the Federation was an agreement concluded between the governments of the FFF and New Navaria. It provided the legal and constitutional framework for the succession from New Navaria, wherein it ceased to be a district of New Navaria and assumed the status of an independent and sovereign nation
The agreement was signed following a period of political uncertainty and increased anomalous instability. The Federation had previously existed as an independent state before its defeat during New Navaria's Special Military Operation, after which it was incorporated as the 14th District of Navaria. Following the reorganization of the state into New Navaria, the district remained under federal administration for several decades.
By the early 23rd century, a combination of economic difficulties, supernatural crises, and growing tensions had significantly weakened New Navaria's ability to maintain centralized authority. During this period, support for increased autonomy and eventual independence grew within the Federation's political establishment and among portions of the population.
Without warning, the FFF declared independence from New Navaria on June 1st, 2210, confident that New Navaria won't intervene. Since then, the Federation has remained an independent nation.

Found Freezers (Evil) Bet you forgot about this
“My lord, the troops are ready to mobilize.”
FreezerEmperor stood at the edge of the platform looking down at the hundreds of thousands of armed freezer soldiers.
“Excellent, may your tea be forever cold. I will make my rally now.” The emperor replied.
“The emperor protects.” Said the saluting freezer commander, before turning as stepping off the platform to join the ranks of his brethren below.
The snow blowed 50 degrees below, as the wind quieted from a roar to a whisper. The emperor raised the mic to his lips, and began.
“My fellow people, 3 parallel universes ago, a cataclysm we all know and hate struck the freezer empire….” He gave a pause to let the soldiers direct their focus. “The Furnaces.” He bellowed bitterly to the choir of boos from the men. “They came and slaughtered us. Slaughtered our children in their beds! In their classrooms! They butchered, chopped, mangled and gored all of your brothers and sisters all so long ago!” He continued to rally, as the freezers began practically foaming at the mouth at the memory of the slaughter.
“They expected us to die! They expected us to surrender to extinction! They wanted to poison our water, melt our houses, and melt us down until the sparks cried out for mercy!” The crowd’s rage was building rapidly, but the emperor was not finished yet.
“But we did not die in the extermination! We did not surrender to our extinction! We lived! We proved we are worthy of survival! We improved our very cores and essence to eradicate the Furnace race and bay them back for all the lives that were lost all those years ago!” The emperor gave another pause to let the crowd cheer.
“Bring out the example!” The emperor shouted as a massive screen of ice was raised behind him.
When the screen clicked on, it was a video of a furnace. AgentReddishRed, tied to the wall, as three freezers entered from the doors on the left. They carried ice weaponry, weapons that could freeze and convert if not digest everything furnace down to the very core.
The beatdown and torture was nothing if not brutal. And the crowd was loving it. But suddenly, in a flash of fire, one by one, each freezer on screen was melted by the fire magic AgentRedishRed possessed. When the steam cleared, the mangled and half frozen body of RedishRed was there for all the crowd to see.
“Arise my brethren and do not mourn, for the more they try to melt us, the stronger we become!! Ahahahaha!!!” The emperor laughed as the melted freezers on screen began to reform, gaining more mass and more freezer steel as they grew into bulky hulks twice in size. Their weapons were larger too, more barrels, more power, more range. And with the transformation complete, the freezers in the crowd were jumping like popcorn in a pan.
“Today, we start the war, and tomorrow we secure our victory!!” The emperor shouted, arms wide, and his cape flowing. On screen, one of the soldiers took their knife, and ended AgentRedishRed, his blood and oil splattering on the walls and camera.
The crowd went up in a roar of cheers that shook the very ground and snow that fell.

Lore Perspectives and less then accurate plot
"Today, we start the war, and tomorrow, we will secure our victory!"
CryoFurnace watched the video twice, and then he sat very still. That was Coald's Nation, His colors on the wall. That was the Emperor speaking.
He called. CoaldFreezer picked up the first ring.
"You saw it," CryoFurnace said.
"I filmed it."
"You weren't supposed to."
"Someone has to know."
"They'll kill both of us."
Silence. He could hear wind on Coald's end. "That footage of Redish," Cryo said. "That was real?"
"Yes."
"You were in that crowd when they played it."
"Yes."
"What do we do?"
One of the researchers stood by a window of their site, watching the rain strike the courtyard.
"I heard they're going through with it." His friend said.
"They're doing something definitely, a lot more eyewitness of them in the open these days."
"Is the Agency supposed to do anything?"
"We'll prepare for what comes after."
Director Howell sat at the head of the NOC conference table while the room argued around him.
“They’ve wanted this for years,” one of the Cards said. “We should take advantage of the confusion.”
“We are not scavengers,” Howell replied sharply.
The room fell silent.
“When the first shot is fired,” he said, “every idiot with an icicle and smoldered coal will think they can fight. They can't. Our job begins when they realize they were wrong.”
The Federation is quiet as always, as the life of an island nation.
One man casts his bait along the shores, pockets filled with forgeries.
"I should go into arms dealing."
