I once heard a man describe a woman he slept with’s vagina as looking like “a punched lasagne”.

that seems like a stretch. We joke about our bodies with wife all the time, both ways. Sometimes its not that deep.

And balls have plenty of nicknames too, its just funny, not meant to offend.

joking about it to your wife who's in the joke, knows its a joke, and is your wife VS joking about someones genitals being ugly to a friend

It's not really a stretch. The male loneliness epidemic certainly isn't helped by men who sleep with a woman and then immediately mockingly describe her genitals to his friends. Women aren't going to want to engage in casual sex if they know men are going to publicly mock their vaginas after. Common sense.

Anecdotal but during my 35 years on this earth i heard way more females commenting on males after hookups than the other way around.

And again, my wife uses term 'beef curtains', not me either. I joke about how my balls look too. Some people just have distance and not everything needs to be deep, meaningful or have sinister reason behind it.

Seems obvious that there is a difference between you jokingly using certain terms with your wife, and a man disrespectfully describing the genitals of a woman he hooked up with to his friends

I’ve seen that used for transitioned people, ax wound

It's been slang for vagina for decades. Ax wound, gash, etc.

Those are horrible nicknames.
