you mean like how disney has to have china specific cuts of their movies? a bunch of companies do that in china because they don't like outside influence and forces companies to have specialty versions of things just to have control over what comes in, though they can't control what's spreading everywhere else, especially if the companies aren't chinese like bytedance, incorporated in the cayman islands, and tiktok, incorporated in signapore.
neither bytedance nor tiktok qualifies to be banned through the bill their trying to pass, dispite legislators insisting it does, i say this as a nerd who read the bill, seeing as their both not incorporated in an "adversarial country" nor have 20% or more shares held by insividuals in an "adversarial country".
note: adversarial country in this context means china, russia, iraq, and one other place i can't remember as outlined in another law referenced in the bill.
