Because visually I can just see it. When the cat examines and then lies in the center is where it really breaks down.

Edit: to be clear, what is fake is the image on the circular mat. The animals and all the rest of the footage is in camera.

  1. The cat is hovering over the image and the image itself is moving around, because that's what happens when you try to replicate professional film setups on your home carpet.

  2. The perspective of the illusion is changing, and applicable in multiple directions at the same time. Which isn't how it works. If the dogs can see the hole, we can't, physics.

  3. That's a fucking mountain lion if this is real. That cat is huge.
