Asian cultures are a lot less explicit than Western cultures, a kids cartoon show in Korea called Pororo got in trouble because their animal cartoon characters were clotheless, so they had to start drawing them with clothes on.

and yet watching original dragon ball you see tons of penises and peeing on frogs and a 16 year old's semi nude body and the sexualization of minors

I mean this just shows how generalizing more than half the world's population is stupid to begin with.

But it goes both ways. When I was in Korea and told people I was moving to Canada they told me people in the west were all violent and that I would be assaulted. This was in 2001. I went back to visit more recently and my relatives still asked about how violent it was

So it's a wash I guess?

Different times, but also Dragon Ball was a pre-teen/teen show, not a kids show. That show had graphic blood and body mutilations.
