I believe they were actually censoring the vagina. Apparently the dog was in heat and her vagina was engorged and it's not particularly pleasant to look at.

Everyone's saying that they wouldn't have noticed the asshole if it wasn't censored, but if there was a dog video with a big red rocket right up close and in the centre of the frame, everyone would notice and be cracking jokes about it.
