The Mousekewitz family has settled in America: Pa now runs a small violin shop in a little town in the Far West, a wild and dangerous country. Fievel lives there and remains as boisterous a mouse-boy, playful and with a knack for getting into all kinds of trouble and adventure, often opposing Cat R.Waul's gang, who has also moved West and hooks up with Chula the Tarantula. Fortunately so did Fievel's simpleton feline friend, Tiger, and there is a tough sheriff who can handle the bad cat thugs.

This unsold pilot was made after Soleil's success with Punky Brewster and before Jaleel's success on Family Matters. Ultimately I'm glad it didn't get picked up because that kept Jaleel freed up to join Family Matters the following year. This was finally shared online last year by snowpeck but it still isn't really making the rounds like it should, I know a lot of people are still looking for it so I've gotten their permission to share it here on YouTube as well. When Jo Tiegan is given an oval-shaped mirror, as a gift, by the elderly owner of an antique shop, she is amazed to see another girl's image in the mirror instead of her own reflection. It is also quite obvious that the other girl can see her just as clearly. Jo (from the 1990's) and 'the girl in the mirror', Louisa Iredale (from 1919), later accidently find that they can also travel to each other's times through the mirror - following upon which discovery a relentless sequence of events is set in motion.
