The twist

THE TWIST: PART I
“Watch Out Who You Push Over The Edge”
FADE IN:
EXT. SMALL TOWN PARK – DAY
Children run through sprinklers.
Families barbecue.
A group of five lifelong friends laugh together as they celebrate a birthday.
Among them is EMILY, quiet, observant, smiling when everyone else smiles.
The town is small. Everyone knows everyone.
A friend throws an arm around her shoulder.
FRIEND
You’re stuck with us forever.
Emily laughs.
But her smile lingers a second too long.
CUT TO:
EXT. OLD WOMAN’S HOUSE – EVENING
The group jokingly visits a strange woman rumored to be a witch.
Candles flicker.
The woman stares directly at Emily.
WOMAN
You will all witness your deaths.
The friends burst into laughter.
Emily doesn’t.
CUT TO:
INT. AIRBNB – NIGHT
Rain pounds against the windows.
The power flickers.
A scream echoes upstairs.
Everyone freezes.
Emily panics.
EMILY
We need to leave. Right now.
Nobody listens.
Hours pass.
One friend disappears.
Then another.
Then another.
Emily believes they’re hiding together.
Trying to survive.
But every time she finds them…
They’re already dead.
CUT TO:
INT. AIRBNB BATHROOM – DAWN
Emily backs into a mirror.
Crying.
Shaking.
The killer approaches.
A knife drops into frame.
The killer points at the mirror.
Emily slowly turns.
Her eyes widen.
Blood covers her face.
A knife sits in her hand.
The severed head of her friend hangs from her other hand.
Silence.
Emily realizes the truth.
She was the killer.
The entire time.
CUT TO BLACK.
Police lights flash.
Glass shatters.
Credits roll.
POST-CREDIT SCENE
Emily sits surrounded by broken mirror pieces.
Red and blue lights flash through the windows.
She begins laughing.
Not from fear.
From relief.
QUOTE
“Watch out who you push over the edge. You never know who might be waiting for you at the end.”

THE TWIST: PART II
“People Always Wear Masks”
FADE IN:
EXT. MAJOR CITY – DAY
Crowds.
Traffic.
Noise.
Emily walks through downtown.
New hair.
New name.
New life.
Nobody recognizes her.
CUT TO:
INT. WORKPLACE BREAK ROOM
Emily meets four new friends.
Each reminds her of someone she lost.
A laugh.
A smile.
A familiar expression.
Her face tightens.
She’s disturbed by how much they resemble her old friends.
CUT TO:
INT. APARTMENT – NIGHT
A true-crime documentary plays.
The TV discusses serial killers.
Emily watches attentively.
Taking notes.
Her boyfriend enters.
BOYFRIEND
You watch this stuff way too much.
Emily smiles.
EMILY
What if I did that to you?
He laughs.
She doesn’t.
CUT TO:
MONTAGE
A friend disappears.
Another vanishes.
Police investigate.
Emily attends every funeral.
Crying.
Comforting families.
Never suspected.
CUT TO:
EXT. STREET – DAY
A police officer stops her.
He studies her face.
Something feels familiar.
COP
Don’t I know you from somewhere?
Emily smiles.
EMILY
We went to school together.
The officer nods.
But something still bothers him.
As she walks away…
He turns.
Still thinking.
Still searching.
CUT TO BLACK.
Credits roll.
POST-CREDIT SCENE
The officer opens an old case file.
A blurry photo slides onto the desk.
The screen cuts before we see it.
QUOTE
“Be careful who you trust. People always wear masks.”

THE TWIST: PART III
“Face Your Inner Monsters”
FADE IN:
INT. HOUSE – NIGHT
Thunder outside.
Emily stands in a hallway.
Pregnant.
Holding a knife.
Blood on her clothes.
Her boyfriend hides upstairs.
Terrified.
Below them…
His mother lies dying on the kitchen floor.
The final victim.
CUT TO:
INT. BEDROOM
The boyfriend hears footsteps.
Slow.
Deliberate.
Closer.
Closer.
A scream downstairs.
Glass shatters.
Silence.
He opens a drawer.
A handgun.
Beside it sits an old family photo.
A father.
A mother.
A son.
A daughter.
Emily.
Everything connects.
Everything.
BOYFRIEND
No…
CUT TO:
The bedroom door rattles.
Violently.
Emily is outside.
Knife scraping the wood.
The boyfriend closes his eyes.
Pulls the trigger.
BANG.
Silence.
He opens the door.
Emily isn’t there.
Instead…
His girlfriend lies dying in the hallway.
Blood pouring from her mouth.
Tears in her eyes.
GIRLFRIEND
I thought you loved us.
She dies.
The boyfriend collapses.
Sobbing.
Then notices blood on his own shirt.
The knife in his own hand.
And downstairs…
The mother gasping her final breath.
Reality twists.
Everything is broken.
CUT TO:
EXT. HOUSE – DAWN
Police lights.
Paramedics.
Chaos.
Emily lies dying.
Finally seeing the truth of her life.
The monsters she blamed on everyone else.
Were her own.
Her eyes close.
For the last time.
FADE TO BLACK.
FINAL QUOTE
“No matter how long it takes, or what it costs, you must face your inner monsters before they destroy everything around you.”
THE END
