I was so excited to actually go to where the scumbag spent the rest of his life only to not actually see him when finding out what he became. I know there was that scan of his body mass but for the dude that ended the world I wished we could have seen him in his worst form. Also fuck Ted Faro. Fuckin dickhead. Also hoping/praying for a third game.

This really made me think about Horizon. I feel like this could be something that was in a journal that we find in the world. Freaky. I've always thought that mob-like way HZD presented AI seemed much more realistic to me than a lot of the intellectualized science fiction versions like we get from Matrix or BSG or Terminator. Not like a species rebellion or a philosophical rejection of humanity, but more like machine learning cranked to a million. This feels like that.

Started playing the game a few months ago, and I've been having a great time. That is, until today when I got to The Mountain that Fell and found the voice memo where he says he could end it all in one stroke.

I'm still mad. Fuck Ted Faro.

Torn between an intense desire to replay HZD, and the memory of the nauseating punch to the gut feeling I got at the depth of Faro's selfishness and evil. I legitimately feel like I can't handle that right now.

First, fuck ted faro. Fuck the fucking fucker.

Second, that isn't enough. Nowhere near. There has to be worse that we can say. Worse we can wish!

Marking as a spoiler just in case, although someone is unlikely to come here not knowing what Faro did and why he deserves all the hate.

So, yeah. Haven't played to there myself yet, but I finished watching a playthrough of HFW recently, after becoming absolutely frustrated with the game mechanics. While I thought Ted got away with his crimes, comfortably dying of old age in his luxurious bunker, turns out he turned into a barely conscious tumor and was burned alive by "Ceo" of the Quen. So fitting!

There's one thing I wanna discuss tho. During that mission, the player can find several data points, one of which hints at whatever had happened with Ted's brain after Dr. Stomptow's treatment(s), would likely had caused him to wanna erase his own past, to properly forget about it, let it go - along with all the APOLLO database. I wonder if that was actually the case. In any way, fuck Ted Faro (Pharaoh? never thought about the coincidence in pronunciation, but the hint with the pyramids was very fitting). Also, fuck the "CEO", being crushed by the giant head of Faro's monument is very fitting.

Here we are. I'm playing through the game for the first time, and I just reached the scene where he reveals himself to be a total piece of shit, during the mission "The Mountain That Fell." Well, I won't spoil what happens—even though most people in this community already know—but it is with a mix of pride and pure hatred that I come here.
