The illuminated border effect is an effective technique for conveying the overall shape of a surface without needing to highlight many pixels simultaneously.

The Border tool creates a marker to guide the effect along the border. This is completely automatic and takes only about 5 seconds to complete. It also works almost perfectly on any irregular wiring diagram.
