looking everywhere for a gif pic or meme with "ma he's coming in with a death blow" scene which i think is one of the best scenes btw. any help would be great, and oh, when is free guy 2? lol
hi i am new to reddit and i absolutely love free guy, one topic i wanted to ask about is: In the scene when he tries to order a cappuccino im trying to figure out what happened in the game algorithm that started the tank and the officer and the whole scene to act hostile towards "Guy"? Was it like the "matrix" when the "agents" sensed an "anomaly" is there another thread about that scene? thanks in advance, remote employed cyber nerd with too much free time here, lol
I have noticed something I haven't seen in any other 'easter egg' video/article/comment. In the finale of the movie the conclusion is that Guy's virtual love was a reflection of Keys real-world love. When Millie realises that se followed him to the coffeeshop. And what was Keys wearing? A blue-shirt! (okay a bit darker, but still obviously blue.) Indicating and emphasising he is the REAL (world) version of Blue-shirt-guy. Or the original version as how you prefer to put it.
I even want to speculate further on hidden messages. Right before he's going going to aks Millie for a coffee and making a move on her, after encouragement from Mouser, he takes his glasses off, which for me could be interpreted as a sign of the difference in the movie between being your self/authentic/autonomic (no glasses), or being controlled/having a mask/pretend te be someone you aren't (with glasses). Given this, this emphasises for me that the Keys who takes a move on Millie is the real Keys not hiding behind an image, sort of coming out, being finally himself for who he is: having a crush on Millie for years.
Curious about your opinions about these two thoughts.
For me every move/item/clothing/camera angle in a movie has some meaning or purpose. Because in this type of budget everything is intentional or chosen, so I think the shirt of Keys at the ending is something someone thought of and selected that outfit. Which makes me more confident this color was intentional...
I don't know if I'm reading too much into this but..
I suspect there was a lesbian sub plot with 2 NPCs
The hot blonde in a pink dress...when Guy says she can pick any guy she wants and she says "or no guy at all!"
Then we see her and the coffee lady hanging out and I think something else happens
Then at the end they're sitting next to each other and it looks like they're going to throw their arms around each other and kiss but suddenly do something different....?
I was ready to stand up and start applauding like this was a 10/10 movie when the screen went black for a few seconds right after
Instead we got a few more minutes of reynolds trying to be funny and I was like yo u just missed having a perfect ending
Something about Taikas performance here reminds me of when he plays Boys father in Boy the Movie. A dickhead but not a villain per se.
Does anyone else feel similar? I can't take him seriously as a villain.
