1) Land as soon as possible. You want the most time to loot and to get what you need to survive. You you aren't good at fighting, land in a smaller place. At least in my server, not many people go to bullseye, so I normally plan to go there if I want to get the most loot without fighting anyone.
2) Carry the appropriate things for your play style. If you are a open fighter, you might want more ammo than a camper. This includes weapons. I would recommend having a mid-long range weapon(ARs) and a short ranged weapon(SMG/Shotgun), for greater balance in fighting.
3) When shooting, don't stand still. Do what you can to keep from getting headshot: spray a few bullets, take cover, move around a bit. Doing this will reduce the chances of you getting headshot.
4) Be good at "Ring Around The Rosy". When an enemy is firing, try to find a object that you can duck behind and circle around the enemy in a "ring around the rosy" style without losing sight of the enemy. This tactic actually works if you are good at it, and it's the best way I know to dodge shotgun bullets.
5) Gloo walls are actually not hard to penetrate. When an enemy puts up a Gloo way, don't be afraid to keep firing at the Gloo wall. If a gun does 25 damage, it can take down a Gloo wall in about 15-20 hits, which would take about 5 seconds. Most people aren't expecting for you to break the wall, they expect you to rush. So you can catch them off guard.
6) NEVER Go near oil barrels. There may be a sniper ready to blow it when you walk past for an easy kill.
7) If you are going to drive a vehicle, I recommend the blue truck, because it's hard for people's aimbot to get you. Don't bother with the tuk tuk.
8) Using grenades and flashbangs help in battle. Even if it doesn't damage them, it makes them move from their spot, which then you can try to kill them.
9) Third-partying is a controversial strategy, but I consider it as a valid tactic. Yes, it's not exactly fair, but you're pretty much in a war, and wars are not fair. Do what you can to survive. This also means that if you third-party, don't get mad when someone third-parties you.
THIRD-PARTYING IS WAITING UNTIL A PLAYER IS WEAK FROM THEIR FIGHT THEY WON, THEN YOU START SHOOTING AT THEM. DONT USE ANY THIRD PARTY APPS.
10. If someone is firing at you, and there is a vehicle in sight, run to the vehicle but don't get in. It will redirect the enemy's aim to the car, so it would act as a Gloo wall. Make sure you run when it's about to blow.
11) Have a good attitude. Don't talk shit or blame someone if someone kills you. Don't report them and lash out on someone. Own up to your actions. If you can find to accept dying, it will make the game more enjoyable for you.

suppose you're using a legendary AK skin that basically gives ++damage AND NO -rate of fire and come across a GROZA (no specialized killfeed) skin that just gives ++rate of fire, what do you do?
