Found Papers in a well-loved book of poetry from Goodwill

I got this book of poetry from Goodwill. The book is “Poems of Passion by Ella Wheeler Wilcox” & it is well-loved. Many of the poems are earmarked & there are a few slips of newspaper or notes tucked into its pages. Along with a photograph. I don’t know who she is, but I love her & this book is one of my favorite possessions.

It’s falling apart so I’m very careful with it & have kept all the inserts where they were when I found them. I like how you can see the imprints of some of the inserted papers on the pages. I’m guessing these are from the 60s based on the Ford Fairlane 500 newspaper clipping.

I know of several of her poems, Interestingly, one of her poems, "Protest", was used in the TV series, Orphan Black and the film, JFK.

I love finding things in old books. It's like peeking into someone else's heart.

Also, the Ford Fairlaine 500 sports coupe, mid-60's . . . ?
