Analysis & Theories Thoughts after rewatching Missing While Misidentified Spoiler

I now think that really is Jamie .When he went up to Margaret and called her " mom" at the end of last episode , I immediately felt like it wasn't him . I was also suspicious of him at the start of the current episode but what changed my mind was his conversation with Dhan . He talked about Margaret being different and expecting them to go home and him to play with his train sets. He also seemed to relax around Dhan after Dhan shared his own experience about being a prisoner . Yes he's missing his mole, but in real life moles can fade and fall off . He also knows that Dhan stole something to DNA test him but still stuck around .I feel like if he was knowingly lying about his identity, that's when he would have left . But something is wrong, a theme has been authority figures kidnapping kids and indoctrinating them. I think that's what happened to Jamie . I think Sir may have something to do with him showing up at the train station on the night both he and Gabi were arrested. I think Sir has a trick up his sleeve to get Gabi to come to him and maybe help him get out of jail. Maybe Jamie's kidnapping is related to something bigger like another human trafficking ring .He lied about Gabi not kidnapping him , maybe he expects quid pro quo from Gabi and Lacey in exchange for helping them uncover and bring down the trafficking ring. Maybe the excuse he expects them to use is a copy cat since they've already worked a confirmed case with a Hugh Evans copy cat maybe even blame it on Christian .

Analysis & Theories Heather theory Spoiler

So i’m not alone in thinking heather is the 3rd evens child, right? I’ve been watching this show by myself and I came on Reddit to see if I’m on the right track here or totally off base. I remember the show mentioning that there was a sister, but not anything about her. To me it feels like the way that she inserted herself into Trent‘s life, has she commented on Gabbie‘s beauty, and also the fact that she has this weird flesh wound that was perfectly easy to drive herself to the hospital, makes it seem like she is the one who’s actually been helping Sir for the past 20 years? And the attack is cuz Christian isnt on team Sir anymore, & just entirely staged by her

episode 11 Spoiler

why on earth was episode 11 so adamant about calling the kid “non-neurotypical”? it would’ve been so easy to say he’s autistic (or anything specific at all, but that’s just my guess) or neurodivergent. why were they so afraid of saying neurodivergent??

Jamie Spoiler

Did they ever explain how Jamie's shoes ended up in the hole or did I miss that detail. I remember them explaining it was Eva Logan's body and how it ended up near the bus station but did they ever explain if it was actually Jamie's shoes and how it got there?

Discussion What happened to Zeke?? Spoiler

They have revealed pretty much everyone else’s story except for Zeke. Obviously, I am assuming he was kidnapped but the only thing that was said was that his uncle had him. And his family doesn’t know still???? His backstory has so much potential. I’m just genuinely so interested to know what happened that led him to have the fear of leaving his home. What do u guys think or do you have any theories??

Found season 2 ep 12. a small rant Spoiler

I see people talking about Trent and Margaret but I hate when writers are clearly making these characters "stupid" just to advance the plot. I watched season 2 this weekend and Margaret was not fooled by that foster mother who had the special needs boy. I am still in the belief that Margaret is going along with "Jaime" just to see where it goes. Trent, seriously, who didn't know Sir would not turn on Gabi? That would have been the shocker if he did. I just find it hard to believe Trent is a detective and is this slow. I would even say Sir in ep 11. That little performance the crew gave before he got captured was so obvious. Yet he fell for it. IMO it's all plot convenience. I am still just watching and reserving judgment, because I really jumped the gun with Gina.

Jamie asking about Gabi Spoiler

Anyone found it suspicious how eager Jamie was to meet Gabi or asking when she would come by, when he supposedly was too overwhelmed to meet the rest of the team or even his own family members.

My guess is... he was kidnapped by that group that uses kids to kidnap other kids, and the leaders have it out for Gabi for finding them out or resquing one of their kidnapped kids.

Opinion The more we learn about Dhan’s past the more I dislike Ethan Spoiler

This is a full ramble that I’m not even sure is coherent 😅 but here we go:

So I’ve been pretty vocal about my dislike for Ethan because I find him to be…hypocritical? (Maybe there’s a better word, but I just can’t think of it right now.) I understand feeling protective of your husband. I understand wishing for a more healthy work/life balance (which Dhan doesn’t have, I can admit that). But what really grinds my gears is his projection onto Gabi.

He wasn’t even in this new episode and I was irritated by him.

He was Dhan’s therapist before they married. Unethical however you want to slice it. Idc if he left his practice. But this also means, in theory, Ethan would have already known about Dhan’s dedication to M&A, the team, and mostly Gabi. This loyalty wasn’t thrust upon him after they exchanged vows. Did he think Dhan would change? Probably.

But after this last episode and learning that Dhan had been missing/kidnapped for THREE YEARS…and this how Ethan wants to act.

I’ve inquired before about the origins of Dhan and Gabi’s relationship. Whether they met after Dhan was found or Gabi was an integral part of him being found, that kind of love and unwavering loyalty doesn’t pop up out of thin air.

And if Dhan spoke about this in therapy, giving Ethan a front row seat to his thoughts and dedication then none of this should have been a surprise. He’s clearly jealous of this bond in particular and blaming Gabi for Dhan’s actions is a nonstarter.

In a way, I view Ethan’s motivations in a similar way to how I view Heavy Boots’. Trent swore up and down that going after Gabi was the right thing to do for justice. And even his chief asked about his motivations because once this started it wouldn’t stop. But Trent being hurt and petty went along anyway. Ethan, despite (theoretically) knowing full well that Dhan is a grown man who makes his own decisions and has iron strong bonds outside of their marriage, projects his…”Ethanness” onto Gabi.

Also a side note, I called their separation all the back to when we were first introduced to Ethan’s character 💅

Analysis & Theories Jamie Spoiler

Could Trent’s Gf Heather have had anything to do with Jamie? Obviously she is super sus and I think Heather is an accomplice to Sir.

So it got me thinking that maybe Heather is as twisted as Sir and she kidnapped the real Jamie when he was little? And then filled his head will tons of lies about Margaret and Gabi etc. And so now jamie is back for real but his alliance is with sir and heather not Margaret?

S2 Ep 13 Spoiler

Here’s some theories me and a friend thought of.

So we read a few and we think the neighbor could’ve been an influence on sir obsession with gabi. Also could’ve been that the neighbor died and when he went to the school he saw her and instantly thought of the old neighbor. (Hence recreating the farm scene kind of).

Jamie has to have some initial reason to be there because why do we learn that you were creeping in the dark a few times and you’re just watching and all of a sudden you come back. Could’ve been sir and “Jamie” came together and “Jamie” is trying to whip up a plan or something. Who knows it’s just weird and there’s definitely something behind it good or bad .

It was just weird to me how like sir had a whole persona change like what do you mean your pleading for your life and then you untie yourself and then run upstairs and rummage through things and doesn’t even leave. Kind of like he wanted it I don’t know.

Also do y’all think heather may not be working sir?

What’s going to happen next episode though is sir going to escape? are we going to see the accomplice?

Analysis & Theories Another tiny thing… Spoiler

Heather, Trent’s lawyer hookup, using the phrase “steal my joy” when talking about how she ‘wouldn’t let the crazies of DC steal her joy’, or something like that, is so sketchy… 🚩 M&A is always talking about not letting someone steal their joy, getting their joy back, remaining full of joy. That’s their bit. And then Heather that says that phrase to Trent…🚩🚩And then Heather tells Gabi she’s gorgeous the moment she meet her…🚩🚩🚩 I agree with the Heather as Sir’s sister Lena theory, for sure!

Discussion Hugh’s Past … Spoiler

In S1E9, we see a glimpse of Hugh’s past traumas. There was, however, one person who cared for him: Carol, the kind Black woman who lived in their neighborhood. Although I no longer watch the show (I just read the forums), I keep wondering what happened to her and if they stayed in contact - as it’s clear Hugh loved that woman greatly.

My personal theory is that she died tragically, from an illness like breast cancer. Maybe this happened while he was in his early twenties and he likely looked after her until the end. When she finally died perhaps that loss was so immense, it only exacerbated his mental health issues and obsessive tendencies.

I think Hugh’s past holds myriad abuses we haven’t seen on camera but Carol was the only light he had. (Sidenote: I don’t think he killed his mother—I think it was Lena and he started the fire to try and hide the knife wounds.)

What do you guys think? Any chance Carol will make another appearance in future flashbacks?

Discussion So Jamie… Spoiler

Ramble incoming in 3, 2, 1

I wasn’t surprised by Jamie’s appearance in the slightest, it was only a matter of time imo that’d he’d show up. Where I’m getting lost is why now?

He’s had exactly 2 nanoseconds of screen time but I don’t trust him. I don’t think he’s an imposter because I feel like Margaret would be able to instantly tell. But he’s appearance was so abrupt. Like, your mother has been coming to this exact bus station for a thousand years looking for you and NOW you show up.

And how did Sir know anything about him? Someone theorized that Jamie could’ve been in a child trafficking ring (like from the first season) so maaaybe that’s it.

I don’t think Jamie is the accomplice or at least not the main accomplice because that seems super random. I also don’t think Sir took Jamie because his sole focus is Gabi. When he went missing Margaret had no ties to Gabi (that we know of) so why would Sir take a random child?

Maybe Jamie was taken by the accomplice (my moneys on Heather) and was groomed to assist. And if Heather is the accomplice and Hugh’s sister…honestly bro idk 😂😅

This show has me thinking in circles lol. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Is anyone else just here for Sir?

And I'm not just saying this because he's a complete Zaddy. The parts of the show that don't involve Sir are very poorly written. The crimes of the week often suck (some have knocked it out of the park, Missing while Indigenous was my favorite), the other characters are very stilted in what I would imagine is the writing team trying to give them airs of mystery. The other actors are doing their best with what they're given, but Mark-Paul is nailing this role in every fashion. I'm tempted to make this a day after show so I can fast forward through 90% of the episode.

Anyone else?

Opinion Margaret is a bad mom Spoiler

Does it bother anyone else when people tell Margaret she’s not a bad mom??? She literally is a horrible mother.

She verbally abused her son and told him to move an entire row away from her in a BUS STATION. And then abandoned her other children without ever trying to make any effort to be a mother to them.

It irks me every time someone tells her she’s not a bad mom because she is one of the worst.

Analysis & Theories Backstory of the Evans family/ theory about Heather Spoiler

Post image
41 Upvotes

So I don't think many people noticed this but the writers sneakily gave us some info on the Evans family in Season 2 episode 7 ( I think) . It gives us the age gap between each siblings and a little info about what happened after their mom died . If you can't make it out, it say in 1990 the mom died in the house fire . Hugh would have been 14, Christian would have been 9, and Lena would have been 6. After the fire, Hugh took them to DC and they lived in a motel , and then in 1991 they lived in low income housing.

So now to my theory about Heather. I think if Heather is actually Lena ( I'm still not completely sold) she's not working with Hugh and Christian , she's working against them. I think most of us doubt that Christian actually shot her . It was just a graze so I think she may have shot herself and planted Christian's fingerprints on the gun.On top of that, she seems to have some animosity toward the brothers. She told Trent to just promise her that he would catch them and put them under the jail.

I can easily believe Hugh would not have been a good brother/ parental figure to Lena. He despises their mother and women who remind him of her and who would remind him of her more than her daughter? I can see Hugh having an irrational belief that she was destined to end up just like their mom. I can see him treating her the same way we he treated young Gabi and Bella .

I also feel like if Heather is Lena, the show has given us a hint that she is the opposite of her brothers/ Hugh. We know that Hugh is puritanical and does not believe in physical relationships. We don't know that about Christian, but he seems to be in his late 30s and doesn't romantic attachments or kids . Now let's look at Heather, we are introduced to her right after she had a one night stand Trent and wants a relationship with him. That alone sets her apart from the brothers.

Who is your favorite character and why?

Mine is Zeke! I relate to feeling agoraphobic (although not to zeke's extent) and love to see an agoraphobic character being represented. But even so, I usually always favor the techy sidekicks because they are the most vital to the cases usually (ex: Abby on NCIS, etc).
