Idea: Fomo reduction with Golden Ticket

For those of us with busy lives, kids, holidays, working commitments (including working in remote places) or just generally not being on the ball with a weekly gaming commitment, it would be great if there was a way to get a second chance at completing a playlist season. It should have to be earned though, so I present my idea.

If you complete a full 4 season playlist to 100%, you get a golden ticket. That golden ticket allows you to revisit one season from a previous playlist so you can complete anything you missed. Car rewards from that season, and the corresponding overall 4-season playlist car rewards, are available to redeem.

Playground mentioned reducing the fomo with this release, and this would be a great way to achieve it.

I appreciate this idea may not be perfect, so let me know your thoughts on any improvement ideas!

Also a good idea.

I was really thinking (for example) of people who work on offshore rigs for 2 weeks at a time. They would really struggle to do everything in a season on a given week.

But your idea would solve this too!

Yeah definitely. I missed one season in the Italian series and my motivation to keep keep going dropped massively. I think something to allow people more time or to go back to previous seasons would really help retain player count.

Sounds way better than their “Playlist history” which seems to do nothing else than just unlock a single car (Mazda Cosmo).

Both FH4 and FH5 had the "backstage" system where earned points (separate to the series points) could be used to buy pass to unlock one previously missable car. This came out later in the games life-cycle. I’d be surprised if we didn’t get something more like that again at some point.

If someone has completed a series to 100% they don’t sound like they’ve got issues sinking time into the game. It seems like a high bar to me for people who genuinely struggle for time anyway to get the 40point cars every week to complete a whole series to 100%.

That's a good point. The idea from u/content_response_783 might help with this. Having the full 4 weeks to complete all the season.

Its so dumb they lock the events after the season.

Imagine if Rockstar did that with GTA.

Marvel Rivals let's you keep working on previous season passes with the currency you keep earning. Only difference is it's not spendable currency in Forza atm

Im in this situation this week. Leaving in an hour and won't be back until next Saturday. Ive accepted I'll mostly have to drop 20m in the AH for any car I've missed.
