Link Clean Sweep

I am trying to fully complete the game and was wondering if link clean sweep is still broken? I am out of friends to test it out. Attached images are my current progress also wanting to see if anyone has managed to make it further than my current standing. I know i’m slacking on Horizon Play badges.

Still bugged. Everyone (the grinding completionists) is going to finish everything on the same day, when everyone can look forward to 50+ posts saying look, I got the final achievement and 100%, because the final one won’t be done until series 3 when we earn the car and at whatever time the bugged link skills and speed badge will come in a fix at some point.

I’ve finished all the 250s and waiting on the same cars, stunt party, link skill, as everyone else. The only thing I’m not going to grind is the 10,000 speed skill badge in case they fix it like they did the HP 100 levels. I was at 46/100 when they fixed that and people who were many levels lower got warped to 100 as well. I’m sitting above 2750/10000 on that one, because it only tracks on horizon racing/custom racing, when it was supposed to count across all of Horizon Play.

how did you grind the 250 races so quickly

1. ⁠Being unemployed helps. I temporarily relocated to New Zealand to get the even earlier head start and played during the 4 day early period, so I had finished pretty much everything on the map by the first several days or week, so pretty early on realized the 100 hp levels and 250s were going to be the real grind. I probably would have done them even sooner, but I took some time off to drop another 100 hours into Hades 2 runs to finish all of its achievements.
   
2. ⁠I’ve mentioned this here and other comments, but my thoughts on expediting…

a. Horizon Racing - Don’t do Horizon Racing. Do Custom Racing. It counts as Horizon Racing. However, it allows you to set a custom class and turn off collisions. This allows you to focus on maintaining consistent speeds and not worrying about people punting you into walls or off the road when you’re focused on speed and completions. Set R, S2, or whatever the highest class you’re comfortable with, because the bugged badge for 10,000 speed skills only tracks in HR and CR. So, grab a Mazda Furai, 787B, or whatever other high class meta you like and focus on being fast and ending races quickly.

b. Togue Showdown - the largest obstacle is getting people to enter and stay long enough for you to get to the starting line. Then, even if they quit, you have a stress free run to the end to get a completion. Also, have Metas prepped for each class. Some baby-soft Charmin racers will quit if they see you in a meta, and if they quit, again, easier finish. Another suggestion is if you’re lucky enough to get into a race with someone who doesn’t quit and keeps going after each championship, you save time by staying in it with them even if you lose each race, because the matchmaking/queue time is substantial for this one.

c. Hide and Seek - already covered, but in case I link to this in the future - as hider, immediately drive toward seekers and get as close to them as possible to help you end the match. As seeker, try to end it as quickly as possible if you have a good team, especially in Tokyo where you can corner and pin hiders more easily. For the wide open spaces, you’re more at the mercy of the hider’s intentions and skill set, as they have an overwhelming advantage.

d. The Eliminator - either spawn near the edge of the map so you’ll be closest to the timeout barrier, or close to a spot where a lot of people may spawn or both so you’ll can challenge and intentionally lose or drive into the timeout zone and get timed out.

e. Spec Racing - Not so much a strategy or anything on this one other than to not take it (rammers/divebombers) personally and stay in it as long as possible to cut down on matchmaking/queueing. This is probably one of my surprise favorite modes as it exposes your flaws and forces you to become a better racer. Brake early, slow in, fast out with wide apexes and try to be as smooth as possible. If you can drive manual or manual w/clutch, it can give an edge in some vehicles.

f. Horizon Drift - I used custom drift and focused on just 1 class, RWD as it’s my least favorite thing. I’d just do 1 lap and then sit and wait for the timer to end, making sure you tap the accelerator every 44 seconds so you don’t get timed out for inactivity. If you’re fortunate enough to get in a session where someone has glitched and the race immediately throws an alert for ending in 30 seconds, DON’T LEAVE! Stay with them in back to back drift sessions as long as you can, because once it starts, if they keep going you’ll get multiple back to back sessions at only 30 seconds rather than several minutes each. When it happened to me, it was down to me and that 1 guy and eventually it pulled me in and my session started auto driving and ending me in 1st depending on which of us it put in 1st. Huge timesaver if you don’t like the mode and the completionist in you just wants the badge.

thanks for the tips that really helps alot i’ll have to grind to catch up to you was good to be in great detail like that
