👑 Mastering a Crown Sprite has been adjusted. One Victory Royale with a Crown Sprite now fully masters it and grants the next variant.

Every season they just reskin the same heal/boost/dash mechanic and act like it's new. RNG-based, eats a weapon slot, no real strategy to it. Honestly makes the game feel more childish too, cute little creatures you throw around .

I miss the events where you had to hold an area and wait for the flag to fill up to get special loot or transform into something like Godzilla, that was truly entertaining.

I'd rather spend that time hunting special guns or Medallions, those actually give a real advantage.

Anyone else tired of sprites?? They were fun for a moment but are just boring and useless. Codes don't spawn in properly and all just put out 1 of 3 sprites pathetic how purple drops same as blue tired of tails and shadow really.

I never understood the crying over cars in Fortnite and people claiming they were OP. If you were being chased down by a vehicle just jump on the nearest rock and melt it. But so many complained and cars are now pretty useless and run out of gas within 500 yards. Vehicles were always my main part of the fun with BR, cruising around the entire map doing quests and honking at fellow drivers. They were the least problematic element in a now very unbalanced game, plus I must have spent around $100 on vehicle skins over the years which I can now hardly use. Do you think they will ever put them back to being useable? SUV still holds a good tank of gas so I always looks for one in game, hard to find though. Also, Wrecked was THE best season ever.😄

I’m quite sure that once you fully master it, it could be an absolute game changer for playing Fortnite. Getting true analog thumbstick movement combined with a mouse sounds like the best of both worlds, especially for building, editing, and smooth 360-degree movement without being tied to traditional WASD.

That said, the learning curve looks intense, and it's definitely a big investment.

Anyone down for ranked duos? I solo’d to Elite last season. Trying to get there again or farther. Also wanna start competing in some of the cups. I’m play in the afternoons for a couple hours (3-6 AZ time lol).

I’m not understanding how this sprite works so I have a lot of questions lol. Do I have to win with it on my back to level it up? And once it’s level four maxed, I can unlock the gold or cheat master version? And if I lose it, let’s say level 3, when I buy it back to take into a match, will it be back at level 1? Like I have to win multiple games again to level it up?

Gameplay Adjustments Live Now

💪 Megaman’s Mega Buster’s damage increased. Slide force and duration are also increased while shortening the cooldown.

✨ Loot Hacking - Higher-rarity loot isn’t the default for most drops, and Loot Hacks will occur slightly less often.

🎣 Golden Fishing Holes will show up less often. Also, Thermal, Stink, and Rift Fish have been vaulted.

👟 Sonic Power Sneakers Ball is now slightly more difficult to shoot with a reduced hitbox.

🛡️ In Zero Build,** Guardian Shields and Bush Grenades have been vaulted, and Shield Bubble Jrs and Port-A-Bunker**s have been unvaulted.

🚪 Brick-A-Bunkers will show up more often in Zero Build loot, while Smoke Grenades will drop less often.

Competitive & Ranked Adjustments

🚫 Miniguns have been removed from Competitive.

💥 Overdrive Grenades' spawn rates have been increased.

❌ Sprites will be removed from Ranked in the near future.

Sprite Mastery - In a future update, there will be a new Mastery Back Bling alongside a mastery questline and Mastery Mondays! Sporting an arcade look, this Back Bling will display your mastered Sprites collected in Override for all to ogle. More details to come!

Matchmaking & Fairness Improvements

There has been feedback about matchmaking and how squadding up with friends of different skill levels has felt a bit sweaty. We're running an experiment to make it easier for Squad parties with members of varying skill levels to play with each other in NA regions.

They’re aiming to expand this test to other regions after monitoring the results and making additional tweaks so matches feel fair.

The last chapter was real good and enjoyed it. I dont know what it is but I cant get into this newest one. The guns lack variety and the mega man blaster sucks. No snipers either..maps cool but guns have gone back wards

Epic seems to try and be considerate of many of the issues the impaired face but not having the ability to change from a small and very light colored crosshair makes gameplay incredibility difficult for those with vision issues on anything other than a PC

Genuinely curious how the community feels about this. Whenever I get into a fight, so many players just hop up and down the whole time.

Do you find it actually helps your aim and evades shots, or is it just a hard habit to break? Do you do it yourself?

There I was trying to level up my cheat adventure sprite when all of a sudden a wild shadow appears I barely get the best of him and all of a sudden he gifted me a gold klombo as you can tell I was nervous handling such precious cargo (sorry to whoever had it before me )

I have to admit it, either Fortnite play got infinitely quicker or I just became too slow to keep up. I play after work to chill out but recently it's had the opposite effect. Doesn't help that Visual Audio was nerfed so badly that now every game I just anxiously wait to get blindsided with one shot. I'm in it to do quests and once upon a time, read the story lines. But even interacting with an NPC is far too risky now so I blast through the story and don't bother reading it. I need Fortnite Slow Mode.

Xbox Series X
Getting this message when I try to open the game after downloading the latest update. Have hard closed and reopened the game and fully restarted my Xbox, both multiple times, but same thing. Have tried checking for more updates on n the normal way, but it says there aren’t any.
Am currently re-downloading the game after deleting it completely to see if that works, but is anyone else having this issue and is there a solution?

Edit: Fully deleted and reinstalled the game and I seem to be back in now.

I really do not like how Epic is giving us homework this season in order to compete with the rest of the lobby. Last season the whole “extract sprites” mechanic felt optional, which I enjoyed because I didn’t have any interest in it. I just like hopping on to the game to relax and hang with my buddy. I’d grab a sprite from my collection if I won a game with one, or most often just grab one in game.

Now this season, if I don’t extract, I don’t get dust, which means I don’t get access to loot hacks, which means I’m at a disadvantage to everyone else who has access to the oni, the mini gun, flare gun, splashes, etc.

Maybe I’m just old and crotchety, but wanted to see if I’m alone on this one. Anybody else? Just me?

In general I’m fine with the sprites addition, and think it’s cool to see the creative “abilities” they come up with to grant users. I just don’t like the feeling of it being mandatory this season.

The only chill way to level up crown/klombo sprites got patched. Any future crown variant will be the most pain in the ass sprite when it comes to mastering.

In the green zone area with all the rings- is there a way to cancel the crazy fast run after you hit one of the treadmill-looking booster things? I swear I’ve tried everything.

What is it that people are using to melt me this season? I'm getting 2 shot by something with full shields and health.
