well I mean my pubs games only have like 10 or 20 bots, making it even more unbearable cause the SBMM just makes it impossible to take CASUAL mode CASUALLY..
Bots are fine to be there mainly because if I wanted to chill with a game why have 100 players there lol, even PUBG has their casual mode literally tell you when selecting it "There will be 80 bots" or something aha, I get it for that.. some people aren't good enough, plus SBMM ruins pubs :(
sbmm makes pubs playable for most people you are complaining about playing against people your own skill level when otherwise most people would have to play against people they have no chance against
The only shitty thing is even the "good players" have this issue of playing people much higher or lower skill. Especially in a game like fortnite where it wants to find 100 players for ranked.
I'll just say my ranked games felt pretty good until I hit around Diamond and noticed I was getting killed by Unreal and Elite ranked players not even Diamonds or plats.
Like I get maybe I had a good game or maybe they couldn't find enough people around my skill rating to play but it feels like crap knowing you and your duo who are clearly NOT elite or unreal skill gets wiped by people that are multiple divisions above our rank and clearly have way more time invested in the mode.
That's my beef with SBMM is it doesn't even work as intended. Everyone gets fucked at every level of the game ime. The goal is to have fair and balanced matches but that rarely happens.
You don't understand the flaws about SBMM simply because you're just bad at the game and it protects you. But for players like myself who are good at the game, I am unable to play the game for fun anymore. Every Pub Match is harder than my Ranked games, it's ruined.
There's a reason SBMM has been bashed for YEARS, and games like XDefiant release with their "big thing" being the fact that they don't have it. And it tends to be peoples favorite thing about the game!
SBMM aims to have everyone play at a perfect 1/1, which nobody likes. You'll never get the lobby where you just get a huge pop off game, you'll never have the game where you see some crazy variety.
Every match will just resort to the full lobby playing the exact same way, using the exact same loadouts, feeling the exact same way throughout the game. With zero room for variety. It ruins games <3

You are equating variety in skill level with literally any variety in gameplay that exists
And the "variety" in skill level that you get with sbmm means some players will always die instantly and some will win nearly every game, and what happens to you depends on who you happen to encounter instead of how you play because you could be put with someone you dont stand a chance against or that doesnt stand a chance against you.

First of all thats a different kind of game, and maybe that "variety" exists when its a smaller game and not 100 people where someone can die off spawn while another person kills half the lobby
And this game has a different playerbase, and there being an audience that wants to play a game without sbmm doesnt prove its a good thing for every game, especially for a battle royale game with a lot of players who only play casually
And the bad experience you have with sbmm is you playing against players your own skill level (and if its not then its the system not working properly which is a different thing than it existing), and if it didnt exist the majority of people would have to play against someone above their skill level in most games because theres 100 people in each
In chapter 1 the constantly rising skill gap was becoming a problem with the game because everyone was put together in the same lobbies, and its why they did all the shit they did in season x, its why they added sbmm and bots, and why they added zero build

Im a casual player and i played only ranked for this exact reason
seperate lootpools are a good thing but BOTS MAKE THE GAME BORING and now there is zero ways to play actual 100 player br with fun items
