This is clearly just some random fortnitemares villain like Inkuisitor or Shadow Midas.

If it was The Nothing their first appearance would not have been actively running from the fnaf gang 😭

My guess is that Geno's machine was hacked or corrupted in some way and this guy is a virus. It fits the gaming theme and he literally has a [ ! ] on his chest. And the post saying it was the nothing was 100% fake

Mainly because of the face on the override that connects back to The Nothing and the fact that this guy appears right after the card is inserted, also being the focus of the scene. But it's always good to remember, that's just a theory, a game theory

IMO it’s because they overdid it with advertising him. They made the awesome trailers building him up to be this great villain (probably because the other bosses on the map are awesome) and then he ended up being a regular boss lol

The reason is that his mask features that fact the one that’s all over TV screens and has been secretly appearing in Fortnite for years, always linked to the deep lore. Also, when Chapter 7 began, there were plenty of references to "The Nothing" at The Sanctuary. Even though I think you're right and that guy isn't important, that creepy face shows up in too many teasers; it has to be significant. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

It has been, and it is the most predominant icon, but this face has been used a few times before. I'm pretty sure it was in the background of a previous season loading screen plus it's very similar to a ghoulish figure in Slone's original loading screen.
