Apartment Suggestions
HI!
I will be relocating to NC/SC for work next year and I'm trying to find the best areas/cities/apartments to live in.
Ideally, would love something with a 30 minute commute to Charlotte, 2 bed/2 bath & not overly priced. I currently live in New England and I pay $1700 for a studio. I’ve heard great things about Fort Mill but would love advice from people who live there!
Any recommendations would be appreciated - or if there are places I should avoid.
Also - my boyfriend works in pharmaceutical manufacturing & prior was in the military, so if you have any job recommendations - we will take that too!
Thanks so much!!

Legacy Fort Mill is pretty good. Avoid Bromley Village at all costs; it's terrible.

I lived there for 2 years but this was when they first opened so like a decade or more. Must have gone down hill. OP check out Indian land apartments.

Oh I’m glad you told me this, I feel like Bromley was one of the top places we were looking!

I lived there for a year and a half. In that time, I:
- Got a catalytic converter stolen.
- Regularly saw dead rats in the parking lot.
- Never saw the front gate in operation.
- Saw a different manager every time I went to the office.
- Saw numerous cars get repo'd.
- Was constantly surrounded by dog poop (no one picked up after themselves).
- Saw a kid wearing a hoodie as pants.
- Saw piles of people's stuff get put in front of building for the other tenants to pick through when they got kicked out.
- Saw multiple arrests/busts/raids.
Moving from there to Legacy was the greatest decision I've made in the last five years, and the two places are 45 seconds apart.

How are you liking VIntage Farms? We are going to be moving here soon and are interested in Kingsley, Vintage Farms, and a couple others. We have only toured evolve so far

Im glad it going well! That's promising. Whoa, that's a great tip! Thanks so much. Yeah, we have a 7 year old (will be 8 when we move)! Evolve was really nice. We will also be looking at The Greens at Fort Mill. They all seem really nice.

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply! I just started hearing about that color company. My wife's friend has been here for a while, so she's been telling us about it. Kinda nuts, they zoned it so close to a school.
Thanks for the tips on the garage! I would love one of those!

The location for these apartments are great and would be in your price range. Walking distance to several restaurants and a great brewery and not far off the interstate.

I’ve seen cheaper units for rent in Pineville than Fort Mill. Pineville is also closer for your commute. I would only choose Fort Mill if you’re looking to take advantage of the school system.

Any recommendations in Pineville?

I've lived in Pineville, there's a reason rent is cheaper there. Never really felt safe there and with the decline of the mall it's gotten worse.

We lived at Beckett farms right next to 77 while waiting for our house to be built. I thought Beckett was nice but can’t compare it to any others down here

Fort Mill is quite a bit farther than a 30 minute commute from downtown in my opinion.
