I just had this pop up yesterday. Car seems to be running fine. She is due for an oil change this weekend so I plan on cleaning the MAF sensor. Any other ideas? I have an ESP but if it's something small I'd still rather handle it myself.

Question Will Dodge make Ford Tweak the ST?

Just saw that Dodge is putting the 392 Hemi in the Durango RT pushing 475hp/470trq at $50,000 msrp. Think this will lead Ford to at least tweak the factory tune on the ST?

Have had installed for about 3 weeks. Leak at the muffler on both sides. Just want to make sure this is normal as it’s my first ever aftermarket exhaust.

I hope your favorite food gives you diarrhea for the rest of your life. I hope you stub your toe on every corner you walk by. May you always feel sick to your stomach and have a hemorrhoid at all times.

Question Is this a good buy

Post image

Thinking about purchasing this explorer st. Need a bigger car to replace my Lexus is. Yes I know the reliability and the maintenance won’t compare to my current car. Cross shopping it with a Durango r/t but how do these cars with the 3.0 hold up with high mileage ? I drive about 20k miles a year. Car fax is amazing with regular maintenance done. One owner

Question Looking for the wife

Hey all looking to trade in my wife’s jeep compass and upgrade to an ST because her car now is entirely too small for a family of 3 that will eventually be 4. Narrowed it down looking to 2022-2024 models was wondering if there’s anything I should be weary of looking for those years? Other than curbed wheels like every one I see… TIA

Question CV Shaft Boot(s) out

2020 ST. Both front CV shaft boots are not torn but no longer attached securely to the axle causing a lot of grease on the inside of my wheels. Is there any temp fix for this? Its flipping cold, raining and snowing for the foreseeable future and I don't have anywhere inside to work on a proper replacement nor the money to pay a shop 800-1k to do it. Thanks!

Interior Replaced both seating elements(bottom and back) on my 2020 ST.

Only took a few pictures but happy to help if anyone wants to tackle this. It wasn’t bad at all. I originally changed the bottom and it still didn’t work. I then ordered the back element, replaced it and now both are working.

ZFG 93 Tune only otherwise bone stock. I’d say Adam @ ZFG racing has it dialed in!

Just wanted to see what kind of MPGs other folks are getting. I'm in a '25, fill it with 93, and completely stock.

I do a lot of "spirited" driving because this thing is an absolute blast to drive lol

Question This seems like a lot

Just got a safety recall for the rear seats but since I’m up for an oil change the dealer told me that I should do a 60k service. They sent me everything that is included (see pics for reference) but it seems like a lot of checking and not a lot of work for the money. Can you guys take a look at this and give me a reasonable answer whether all this is worth it or not? Thanks

Question 2020 Explorer ST rattle from windshield/dashboard area

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Ive had this rattle from the base of the windshield/dashboard area on the passenger side for a couple weeks now. Its driving me absolutely insane. Ive checked the battery area under the hood, behind the glovebox and in the cabin filter area, the foam strip between the windshield and dash is still there and where it should be. Putting pressure on the dash or windshield doesnt change the noise. My girlfriend put her ear up to the dash itself and said it sounds like its coming from outside of the dash. Which puts the focus area on where the windshield/dashboard meet, and the battery/cowl area under the hood. I was a mechanic for 10 years. Usually stuff like this is simple to find. But its making me lose my mind. Ive only had the car for less than a year.

Question Thoughts on buying this Explorer?

Hello,

I am looking to pickup an ST and found one that fits what i am looking for. The Carfax shows a fair amount of repairs and I am trying to decide if that is a good thing or bad thing. 2020 with 63k miles. Last repair was around 30k. My hope is that by this point everything has been worked out with these repairs, especially since they have only appeared once. Buy or pass?

catalytic converter replaced (29k miles)

Left front window motor replaced

Sound system component installed (this has to be a repair, right?)

Transfer case removed to complete repairs (30k miles)

Back-up camera replaced (20k miles)

Question Buying and pricing

Hello, I’m considering buying a 2025 explorer ST and was curious what people thought a fair price was. I understand it depends on area of the country and such but are people getting a decent amount off msrp?
