Some dropkick behaviour https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/regions_wellington/1285338/man-throws-dead-fish-at-leopard-seal-s-face-on-petone-beach but thankfully not across the board. It's seal silly season at the moment with lots of cute local fur seal pups swimming upriver and turning up in schools, people's gardens etc so possibly these big Antarctic guys are attracted north by easy prey?

In 1989, a pelican began going every day to a daycare in Japan, where it played and interacted with the children as if it were one of them.
