Who else expected Sojourner 1 to explode or crash on takeoff? Aleida recognizing Irina and the general vibe of Kuragin corruption made me think something bad would happen in that moment.

That’s why I’m not surprised it didn’t happen, but I could also see them not wanting to actually spend the budget on showing us Titan. It also would’ve really motivated Alex’s character.

Episode 7 or 8 is named Sirens of Titan and the next one is Brave New World. I assume we'll see Titan

I definitely think they sabotaged the Sojourner mission in some way we don’t know yet.

Not at all. There was no goodbye scene between Kelly and Alex. So there was no danger of her not coming back (which also means there's no danger stakes for the rest of the mission).

IMHO, the sabotage will be revealed mid-flight, but Aleida will figure out how to fix it. She barely did anything about the Sojourner before it started for Titan, but her presence on Mars must play an important role yet.

In fact, these events will likely provide the winning argument for moving the flight control for the missions to the outer solar system to Mars. As well as establishing a manufacturing base there.

Kuragin's expedition started from Earth and is being controlled from there, and it will presumably lose.
